Tell us about a time you almost drowned

A few years ago, during a heavy winter surf session, my leash broke. I was stuck in the middle of breaking waves doggie paddling around as I watched my board make its way toward shore. Luckily, I was surfing in a lesson with and group of ladies. I was able to call a nearby instructor to help me paddle back in.

She quickly, and safely brought me to shore and made sure I was okay. If she hadn’t been close by it’s likely that I would have become exhausted and been at risk of drowning. This experience prompted me to take some precautionary steps before entering the water again.

In this episode you’ll hear:

  • Host Laura Day’s near-drowning experience
  • Stories from surf ladies all over the world on how they almost drowned or were really scared in the surf
  • 5 Safety Tips that could save your life in the surf

Tune in for stories told by your surf sisters that will put you on the edge of your seat and learn these 5 life-saving tips for surfers.
