How should we respond to tragedy, especially those out of our control? What should we do when we feel abandoned?

This past Thursday was Tisha B’av. A day to remember all the tragic events that took place on this day throughout Jewish history. Most notably, the destruction of both the first and second Temples. On this day we read and meditate on the book of Lamentations. In this series of poems, we find an outpouring of pain, frustration, anger, depression, and hope. Join Rabbi Kevin Solomon in reflecting on the pain of the destruction of the Temple, our fears during the COVID-19 era, and how we must respond with patient waiting and urgent seeking.

Lamentations 3:3-8; Lamentations 3:21-24; Luke 6:36
