In this episode, Cole Siegel and Zack Schultz dive into the interesting life and career of Peter Schott. Mr. Schott is the CEO and co-founder of Genesis Feed Technologies. He is from a small town in North Dakota, Kulm, where he grew up on his family farm. He pursued and earned his bachelor’s in Psychology and Social Work at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. In this interview, we find out what drives and motivates a CEO of a young company in the modern business landscape. We also cover current topics that we are learning in our lecture. This helped us get real-life examples on how to target consumers, how to stay motivated, and how to realize and seize opportunities. We then ask questions to get relevant information on time management in the business world from a man who knows how valuable every second is. This included talking about day to day activities in his role, his balance of work and social life, and how he and the other co-founders work as a team. Cole’s biggest takeaway from the interview was to work towards a goal no matter the amount of work it takes to get there. Zack’s biggest takeaway was that every opportunity, no matter how small, may lead to something great; so, every positive opportunity should be seized. Overall, the experience of talking with Mr. Schott was much more relaxed than we expected. We gained a lot of very valuable information and enjoyed our experience.
