So often we get caught up in following the blueprint of what somebody else did that we find ourselves becoming those people. There’s value in the experiences of those who are doing what you’re trying to do, but you have to have some discernment about what will work for you and what won’t.

Some people are good at dancing and pointing on reels, and some people are terrified by the thought. Not everyone has to use reel just because they work for some people. What you don’t see is the work on the back end with their funnels, email sequence, and client journey that makes them successful. It’s not about the TikToks. Content marketing is not one-size-fits-all.

Social media is a shiny piece that helps people find you, but what really matters is what happens next. Are you communicating what you do and how you can help them? Are you nurturing them along the way? We have to make sure that our expectations match our level of execution.
