S2 E8: J'ba Fofi

This time, on Counting Cryptids:

We discuss what is, without a doubt, the creepiest cryptid ever, J'ba Fofi. Commonly refereed to as the Congolese giant spider, this absolute horror is basically just a five to six foot tarantula, with massive fangs, and a deadly bite. It is said to be very fast, spin massive webs, and known to kill humans. Natives detail mundane information about the life cycle of this creature, such as; what its eggs look like, what color they are when they hatch, and the sizes they reach, suggesting they regard it as being a very real, flesh and blood creature. Fortunately, for those short on nightmare fuel, sightings of giant spiders have recently been popping up all over the globe, from the United States, to Papua New Guinea, and even England. Have these hellish horrors been hiding in plain sight this whole time? Has someone collected giant spiders from the Congo, and returned to the United States, only for them to escape their captivity? Or has Hagrid simply forgotten to feed his old friend? Join us, Cryptid Counters, as we wince at the thought, and crawl through the webs of J'ba Fofi.
