Today, on Crime & Entertainment, we have the story of Jamilla Thomas. I recently met Jamilla at a restaurant in New York this past weekend. She shared a story with me that at the time she had less than 72 hours before, she had to surrender to a federal prison to serve 3.5 years behind bars. How did an educated woman with a masters degree get caught up in a conspiracy case to distribute illegal substances?? The story is one that could very well happen to anyone when love throws blinders on our vision. Jamilla will be days into her incarceration when this is aired. However, she has plans to not waste her time incarcerated. She will begin a vlog that will chronicle her time behind bars as well as begin to work on her book detailing her experiences.
