This 2018 Canadian sports drama film, directed by Miranda de Pencier was based on a true story. The film depicts a youth lacrosse team that was set up to help combat an onslaught of youth suicide in the community of Kugluktuk, Nunavut.
This wasn't 'Miracle' with Kurt Russell but it did have a good message and a healthy redemption element. Strong performances by a largely Native American cast. Ever been faced with bleek circumstances that appeared uncorrectable? This project highlights the importance and value of team building to create solutions to shared struggles.
