Part 4...

Do you remember the first time you tried to meditate? I do. It felt like an eternity crammed into a single minute. That feeling of discomfort, however, was the stepping stone to a transformative journey. On today's episode, I share my personal meditation experiences, detailing how I started with a modest 60-second practice that evolved as I grew more comfortable. I can't stress enough how vital consistency is in this practice - this isn't a one-time activity but a daily commitment.

Along the way, we discuss the hurdles of embracing new practices, with a special focus on the indispensable role of patience. If you're ready to embrace change and new experiences, remember it's not always a comfortable process. There's a need to release control and let things naturally take their own course. To help you kick-start your meditation journey, I also offer practical advice on finding that perfect one-minute meditation on YouTube. Ignore those initial missteps; they are part of this beautiful journey. Prepare for some authentic, inspiring talk about meditation and personal growth. It's not about the destination, but the journey itself. Let's embark on this adventure together.

Your journey matters, and your voice will always be heard here, so be sure to share your thoughts, questions and reflections with me on my innerwebs.

Thank you for joining me for another episode as we cross this bridge together!

Okay. So the next one was after I told her to surrender the first thing that I told her to do, because she indicated remember I said she indicated that she didn't really have, you know, a morning routine or practice. She's already struggled with meditation, so this is what I told her. I told her to start off small, but that meditation was very important. And so my suggestion, which is this is exactly what I did when I started meditating years ago I started off small. I mean a one minute, 60 second meditation to me felt like an hour. Okay, but you can do it. You can do it. One minute meditation, that's it. That's all. Cancel Christmas, that's it. That's all you need. Okay, and you do. Now.

01:19

I'm not telling you to meditate once. This has to be a consistent thing. So this is something that you want. This is something that you're going to have to do. It requires work, and it requires work because you've never done this before. So how do you expect it to yield an ROI when you just done it one time? That's just like when you're trying to build muscle, do you just lift the weight once. That's just like you know. I mean, it's just like with anything like.

01:48

You have to make it a practice. You have to make a change, you have to do the work and, unfortunately well, not unfortunately, but it feels unfortunately right, when you're trying to do a new thing, it's not always easy if it's totally outside of the realm of what it is that you have done before. Right, because you're taking on new beliefs, new experiences and things of that nature. You really have to be patient and again, it is really not up to you, right, and it's not you, because you're releasing control. So it's not when you want it to happen, it's when it's divinely meant to happen.

02:31

Okay, and so meditation going back to meditation, because I'm getting off the subject go on YouTube, find a voice that resonates with you. I'm going to post some meditations and stuff eventually, but my voice might not resonate with you. So this is your thing. This is just me as the teacher, as the coach or whatever, like coaching you to go do it, but at the end of the day, it's not up to me. I'm not your, I'm not your guru, I'm not the person that you know what I'm saying. Like it's you. You're going to do this, you're going to accomplish this, and this is not going to necessarily be easy, but you're going to get it done. Find someone on YouTube, find a one minute meditation that you resonate with whether it's the music, whether it's the voice or whatever and do it, and you're not going to get it right. The first time, the second time, the third, just keep going, keep going.
