Masters of Horror: Jenifer: a Cult Film Showdown podcast special The Masters of the Cult Film Showdown stand off with the Masters of Horror! Jim, Jack, and Nic dig into the 2005-2006 series Masters of Horror, an anthology series featuring legendary directors including Dario Argento, Tobe Hooper, John Carpenter, John Landis, and Tom Holland. Episode 4: Jenifer, directed by Dario Argento, Based on a story by Bruce Jones (Creepy Magazine #63) Detective Frank Spivey saves a disfigured woman named Jenifer from being killed by a deranged homeless man. He feels sorry for Jenifer, and removes her from an insane asylum and brings her home. Frank becomes obsessed with Jenifer. When he realises there's more to her, he moves with her to an isolated old cabin in the woods, with tragic consequences.
