Creating life requires a tremendous amount of energy, and giving birth entails the release of that energy within. To say that a woman's body went through trauma is an understatement.

In this episode of Dance to Heal, Jenny sits with Ariyana on a discussion about a woman's journey to giving birth. About Ariyana:

Ariyana is an Egyptian bellydance artist in Honolulu, HI. She delights audiences with her playful, engaging, and sensual live shows. Her experience with singing and live shows gives her the ability to connect with audiences and transport them to the land of Raqs Sharqi.

Ariyana began her bellydance journey in 2006. After moving to Tokyo, she started taking classes at Studio Lapis in 2010 with her teacher Gamila. She debuted in her first solo show in 2011 at Cutie Dream Nights Vol.2 by Maxim Entertainment. Gradually, she started dancing at restaurants and large events, such as Shoaa Event Planning's Amierat shows, and Maxim Entertainment's Oya-man show.

She continually studies Bellydance, Folklore, and other surrounding area dances of the MENATH with dancers and instructors from the culture to give a truly authentic dance experience.

Ariyana is Teacher Training Level 1 certified (Hadia) and won second place at the Tokyo International Bellydance Competition in 2014. She completed Professional Dance Training with Hadia in September 2014.
