It's not common at all to see an athlete play an entire career for one team. When it does, its a novelty to behold. THis comes to mind after NBA Star Paul Pierce signed a 1-day contract to sign with the team that originally signed him: the Boston Celtics. DOing away with free agency is a foolish idea indeed, but when an athlete cannot play their entire pro career in one town, its just heartbreaking.
