This week has been a scheduling nightmare and Casey and Dave didn’t make it over the line, so to fill the void in your hearts and loins DVG presents the time they ruined Toy Power Podcast:
“Today on Toy Power Podcast we are joined by not just one, but two special guests both Davey & Casey! And let me warn you they certainly bring along a lot of laughs for this episode! Casey is asked the usual initiation questions, whilst Davey is asked about his redeeming qualities..... and the Toy Power lads are given a stern warning within the first 5 mins. The first topic off the rank is all about Fast Food Toys - and let's face it, everyone was exposed to these in one form or another! We go around the room with nostalgic memories of our personal favourite toys through the ages as well as hunting these toys down. Darren phone-in's thru the drive thru bay as he aims for a new show sponsor. We touch on the quality and collectability of these juggernaut toy lines; with their heavy hitting - well known properties, especially movie companies - marketed at kids versus the fast food inhouse promotional characters, plus the fashion behind them too! Don't forget the coupons and promotions to get you to keep coming back. The conversation segway's to corner deli's, VERY HEALTHY cereal toys, and Tazos in chip packets among other things. Davey gets serious for a second and gives us a detailed history of Tazo's & OddBodz releases as well. **(Please note - this is all very Australian based memories from us - other countries Fast Food outlets may be named differently.)** Then we change gears as Master Trent lines up a 'World Cup Fever Quiz' - parting us into two separate teams! Very far from any sports orientated theme actually, and this quiz becomes quite dissident and goes on to become a penalty shoot-out! Stay tuned for the tightest, most uncontroversial quiz of all time!
