In advance of the 2018 edition of Canada Reads, the St. Albert Public Library hosted a mini Canada Reads debate. Five local celebrities each championed one of the books on this year's Canada Reads list and the audience voted on the winning argument to determine which one of the Canada Reads books is "The one book to open your eyes."

The debate was hosted by librarian Michele Steinhusen and this is what it sounded like.
