During 2017, Canada was consumed by celebrations around the 150th Anniversary of the confederacy and for a lot of countries, these milestones can have symbolic meaning.
For one small country in Europe, 2018 is a year to celebrate 100 years of their independence. Estonia rarely makes headlines, but for anyone who has used Skype, it's a small connection to Estonian technology brought to the rest of the world.
For 2018, Estonia is also offering e-Residency to anyone in the world looking to bring their investment and ideas.
Alberta has a significant number of residents who have Estonian heritage, and one of them is Kelly Schuler, President of the Alberta Estonian Heritage Society.
