But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 Everyone Faces Obstacles In Life, But Not Everyone Knows How To Overcome Them. “For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.” Psalm 18:29 (ESV) 3 STEPS TO HELP YOU OVERCOME OBSTACLES IN LIFE 1. I Need God In My Life A. I Can’t Do Life Alone B. I Need God's Help C. I Need The Strength Of God D. I Need The Peace Of God E. I Need God, Period And End Of Discussion! “I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:12-13 “I'm just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.” Philippians 4:12-13 (MSG) 2. I Need To Obey God Complete Obedience To God Is A Result Of Complete Surrender To God. A. Give My Life Completely To God. B. Love God Only. C. Don’t Be Selective With God. “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” Joshua 1:7-8 “And if you faithfully obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the LORD your God.” Deuteronomy 28:1-2 3. I Need To Remain In God A. Be Faithful To God In Everything And With Everything. B. Put My Life In Service For God. C. Be Accountable For God. “For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.” Philippians 1:21 “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 “What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn’t work. So I quit being a “law man” so that I could be God’s man. Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
