This week Nina & Brian discuss their Chris Brown adventures, taking days off from work & how each one of them doesn't yell anymore. There are a lot of benefits to learning to communicate effectively. Yelling is the lowest form of communication and a habit we must all consciously work on to eradicate. Nina shares the benefits of not yelling and also shares some tips on how you, too, can learn to stop yelling and take a much calmer approach to life.

Here are 5 powerful things I have learned from not yelling:

  1. It doesn't work; waste of time
  2. You will regret it every time. Avoiding it all together is way more powerful than having to deal with the regret later
  3. I'm in a good mood 98% of the time, regardless of anyone or anything now; this helps me be better at life and in all my relationships
  4. Improved mood= focus on whats essential in life. I don't waste time pouting or replaying the scenario or even worse repairing relationships again and again
  5. Healthier; lower cortisol and blood pressure

5 ways you can stop yelling too:

  1. When you find yourself ready to explode… walk away, or hang up the phone whatever you have to do to get away from the situation; even change the topic if you must
  2. Force yourself to get into your head and out of the moment; in your head smile, and love yourself more this will help you make the right choice and smash your ego to the ground immediately. result = calm response with no yelling
  3. Think of clouds passing by
  4. Do it for your health
  5. Realize you're better than this; that should automatically help you level up. Be the bigger, better person, it tricks your mind and your ego into taking the path of least resistance
