New Series: MISSING, MURDERED + THE MEDIA.
Kicking it off with my first guest, Amara Cofer — host of the podcast, Black Girl Gone. Amara brings a whole new perspective to the conversation, one that actually inspired me to change the title of the series. She speaks a lot about the importance of social media as a tactic in helping to raise awareness for cases that are historically left out of the mainstream media's coverage.
With 95k TikTok followers, Amara knows a thing or two about leveraging the power of social media to help a case. She does it all the time on her podcast and TikTok channel.
Amara set this series up perfectly and I will be exploring more facets of this complicated subject over the next few weeks.
