E31: Erick Vera Bazan, Founder & CEO of Little Inca has a rich international working history from restaurant ownership in Colombia, to insurance in Peru and consulting in the UK. Using his parent’s farm in 2014, Erick discovered how to scale from production of organic quinoa to baby food. Little Inca’s formula that was once cooked up in his parents’ kitchen sink, now has Harvard grads from Life Science and Food Engineering creating this quinoa based super baby food (also Dairy-Gluten Free) that enhances gut health and brain development.
Join us in the high chair and digest 😉what happens behind the scenes for 250% profit during recession, food regulation and production both in South America and Europe, the nutritional do's and don’ts of baby food, historic additives such as liver and MSG, adults stealing/eating baby food, supply chain effectiveness and shelf-life factors.
We also discuss the use of mums as influencers for marketing strategies, as well as those used by retailer partners Amazon, Whole Foods Market and Holland & Barrett.
Social issues; Sustainability using Renewable Energy Sources, biodegradable packaging, solar powered factories and reducing the carbon footprint of supply chains.
