Soniya & Sumayyah, give us a low down how they set up @BrownGirlsReadbooks , a social media/virtual book club that is open to every demographic. Ranging from rom-com to socially charged books, there is a book for everyone from any age (@Goosebumps, @MrMenOfficial ) and any race and gender. Some of our favourite reads this year stemmed from authors @BernardineEvaristoWriter , @AvniDoshi , @JohnGrisham, @50Cent , @Common and @Nike’s Phil Knight. We flip through chapters ;) around reading on the go, @GoodReads vs. blogs for credible book reviews, graphic novels being books or comics (@Marvel) and having representation for people of colour in and out of books. Statistically speaking women read and seek out more literature than men but with audio books and e-books gaining popularity, lack of access and options is not an excuse to open one’s world.Support the show
