Even so, we’re covering another YA adaptation with a female protagonist obsessed with protecting her younger sibling while finding herself in a love triangle that will likely be further fleshed out in future sequels! Along the way, the boys stop to digress about YA film adaptations from 2001 onward, consistently-released long-running franchises vs. franchises with long-delayed follow-ups, and the difference between ‘Michael Mann-editing’ and ‘Michael Bay-editing.’
