On this episode of Drinks With, Skip and Timshel have the opportunity to sit down at a table across from Dolly Parton. It's 7am at her manager's office and she has already done an hour's worth of interviews by the time she walks through the door in her full Dolly glory. She talks about how her songwriting process has stayed the same since she wrote her first song in 1951 (as a 5-year-old). She talks about Whitney Houston, Emmylou Harris, Porter Wagoner, and buying her first Otis Redding records. Just hearing her conversational voice is worth the price of admission. The drink this week is a (recently resurrected) white wine spritzer.
