Welcome all to the DrumQuig Podcast Episode 8! In this episode, we are joined by a fantastic guest who bears no relation to us (or so we know), Mr. Glenn Quiggins! First and foremost, due to scheduling availability, the show will continue with just one Quiggins for the next few episodes until that is sorted out. But as they say, the show must go on! This was an incredible episode. Glenn and I had connected a while back in a group that was made up , well you guessed it, people with the last name Quiggins. As I state in the show, we are not related to Glenn but by the end of this episode, I think that may not be entirely true. Glenn talks about his life growing up, the instruments he played, how he came to finally play drums, God's Rock and Roll Army talk and so much more when it came to music. The man has played all over and even has a band with another Quiggins, cousin Jim, called Sweet FA.
What an emotional roller coaster following Glenn's story and how he's not just a musician but a huge history buff. Glenn talks about Kentucky history and how the Quiggins Site located on his ranch confirmed information that changed the history books, literally. Glenn talks about treasure hunting and various trips he has been on and what the coolest thing he ever found during a dive was. Glenn also discusses his upcoming project with the History Channel regarding a family heirloom passed down with a riddle that provided the location of the John Swift Silver Mines.
A Quiggins that is also multi-talented? We don't know anyone like that on this show.
Finally the penultimate question was asked: What are the best nicknames that you've been given and what has stuck?
Glenn's a musician, history buff, treasure hunter, potential relative and now , a true friend of the show.
