Here it is, The Book of Nora– the series finale of HBO’s The Leftovers! The Leftovers is dead, long live The Leftovers.

Cord:

I don’t know what else there is to say– this episode is amazing. This show is amazing. Easily one of the best shows ever– Period. 10/10

Will:

This show is instantly a top 5 for me, probably top 3, of all time. There’s things you expect people to be upset about, insofar as not answering questions or following up on red herrings throughout the show, but that’s the beauty of this show–uncertainty. There’s uncertainty about the afterlife, Armageddon, suicide, love, family, relationships, etc. The ending scene of this episode, and this series, answers more questions than I thought were going to be answered. I’m not the least bit dissatisfied with the series and am grateful and thankful to have watched it. It really makes you think about your own mortality and the ‘what-would-you-do’ scenarios if you were in the same situations as Kevin, or Nora, or John, or Laurie. Was Nora telling the truth or lying? I think she was telling the truth. I felt she portrayed the pain of getting the closure with her family and not being able to do more, and how much it hurt her, but lifted a weight off her back to know they were (for all intents and purposes) happy and taken care of. It’s heart-breaking and uplifting, the final 5 minutes, and I couldn’t have thought of a better way for the story to end. I’m sad to see this show depart without knowing everything, but I’m happy to let the mystery be. 10/10

Caleb:

This show is important. I feel as if this show will be remembered and revered throughout television history. I don’t care if you like it. I don’t care if you don’t like it. It’s important to me and that’s all that matters to me. The show took an impossible concept and not only accomplished the narrative aspects – they made it human. Honest dialogue. Real characters. I love this show. Easily in my top 3 favorite shows of all time. 10/10
