The Dudes meet with Marvin Lowe from the Frisco, TX Independent School District Board of Trustees to discuss everything from his views on the real estate market and to his position as a Trustee on the Frisco, TX School Board.
Marvin is a real estate broker with 4 children who had never voted in a municipal election prior to a few years ago. His exploration into Critical Race Theory in Frisco public schools led to him running for a Board seat in 2022.
There are many parallels between Frisco and Prosper ISDs and more parents are waking up and learning more about how schools and the education system in America operates.
Frisco has lost between 1400-1500 teachers in the last couple of years, a concerning statistic for a property rich city with 225,000 residents and 65,000+ students.
Marvin shares some of his ideas of what's needed to course correct, as well as addresses the recent Dallas Morning News hit piece written about him after his discussion with a young transgender student's mother at a recent Texas Association of School Boards Conference.
