The Rape and Torture of Junko Furuta is one of the most horrific and disturbing cases to ever happen not only in Japan but the world. Junko Furuta was a promising 17 year old school girl, but in 1988 she was kidnapped and held captive for 40 days by four male school mates. She was subjected to rape over 400 times, torture, mutilation and beatings that would eventually lead to her death. She was placed in an oil drum and covered in wet cement. This is truly one of the worst cases of rape and torture in the history of true crime. The Rape and Torture of Junko Furuta will forever be looked on and asked why did over 100 people who knew about what was happening do nothing?
