Ben & Rob marvel at 'Ghostbusters: Answer The Call', the 2016 reboot of the Ghostbusters franchise starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Chris Hemsworth. Set in a whole new universe where the original cast briefly appear in different roles but still shout fan service catchphrases, this film was unfairly reviled and bullied by a majority male audience on it's release and since. Does that mean we think the film is good? Well... no, but it's not because of the female cast.
The Ghosbusters franchise as a whole had been in development hell for decades; can we unravel the mystery of how this film came to be the fan-reaction disaster it so famously became? What was Dan Aykroyd's original idea for the abandoned 'Ghostbusters 3'? And can Ben and Rob find any silver lining in a film that even the studio wants everyone to forget ever happened?!
