Fumio Demura was born in Yokoham, Japan in 1938. He is the author of such well known books as
Shito-Ryu Karate (1971) Tonfa: Karate Weapon of Self Defense (1982), Bo: Karate Weapon of
self defense (1987) and many more.
He has appeared in several movies like: The Warrier Within, The Island of Dr Moreau, Rising Sun, Ninja
and of course some of my favorites, The Karate Kid movies in which he was the stunt Double for Pat Morita.
He is also the subject of the 2015 documentary “The Real Miyagi”.
