Dilyn Gilbert-Leduc talks endurance mindset, and how having a “why” - to push through the hardships, and the process of training - can help you not only be successful come race day, but also give you new mental tools for mental health and resiliency.
As a successful Ironman & Marathon racer, Dilyn is not new to the mental/physical investments that need to be made when undertaking such big events, and the hardships and setbacks that come with the preparation & training. In this episode we talk about how he has implemented and developed a mindset that seeks out challenges that increase his mental resiliency to ensure come race day he is ready to perform. We discuss how have a “Why” can be such a driving force to staying on track and disciplined towards consistent training, and how this can be vital to mental health growth as well.
