Misty and Bryce Murph'Ariens have been living in their self built, hand sculpted cob home for 12 years, and have been off-grid for 15. They pursued cob to rediscover a non-toxic building alternative to find relief from the debilitating multiple chemical sensitivities that Misty experienced while living in the city. Not only did she find total relief, but they found a wonderfully fulfilling, low cost lifestyle as well. An important part of the relief came from the high quality, diverse-nutrient food from their food forest and chinampa wetland raised bed gardens, as well as the fresh air, exercise and spiritual fulfillment of their off grid permaculture lifestyle.
