Up until recently, the act of remastering a classic film from yesteryear meant re-scans of negatives, and painstaking removal of blemishes and dust particles, frame-by-frame. But now, with advancements in AI tech, it seems there are directors or studios out there taking shortcuts to remove those blemishes at break-neck speeds. What's happening here?
