I met Murdock Martin in September 2022 as I rolled along the stunning Big Sur coast in California. Murdock is a host on Warm Showers in one of the most remote sections of the Pacific Coast route - nestled just off the shoreline next to his office, a United States Forest Service fire station. Murdock has worked in wildland firefighting for nearly 30 years and has called Big Sur home for over a decade. Since moving there, he’s opened his beautiful home to over 250 cyclists traveling along the Pacific Coast, just like I was last year. Not only is Murdock incredibly generous and a great guy to chat with, he is a big 49ers fan with memorabilia throughout his home - no warmer welcome than that! We recently reconnected for this special edition of the Eyes Up Life podcast - enjoy our conversation and make sure to subscribe to get future updates!

Please rate and review the show if you enjoyed it. It helps spread the #EyesUp mission.
