The good news is, there is a ton of resources available to help us with our personal finances. The bad news is, there is a ton of resources available to help us with our personal finances!

It is very easy to get overwhelmed in our financial pursuits.

Some put undo pressure on themselves to be like others, or to reach certain levels of financial success, and always finding themselves just short of those goals.

In This Episode, We Look At:

The downside of expectations.

When expectations are not met the result is frustration. We can easily lose of joy and peace.

Constant comparisons

Just as each marriage is unique, so also are our finances.

God's principles are perfect

In following God's financial principles, we will still be different from other families and individuals—financially speaking. But should be very similar in our godly attributes of being generous, gracious, patient, avoiding debt, and being kind to others.

Matthew 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and a shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Proverbs 3:9-10 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
