William joyfully says his life began at 40. Lost and found could be the theme of William’s life. Blending the experiences of his military career as a U.S. Army Drill Sergeant and time in corporate America, William shares how his journey led him to use the skills learned in these settings to serve a ministry in South Dallas Texas, helping at risk individuals re-enter the workplace and speaking life into people experiencing a sense of hopelessness.

Broken, flawed and LOVED is the way William describes himself. His aim for ministry is about reconnection, believing that we’re disconnected from what we were supposed to be. William says sometimes people are running on old software and need an update. He leads the Work Program for H.I.S. Bridgebuilders Ministry in the Bonton Neighborhood of Dallas TX. Sequestered between highways, the Trinity River and one of the largest urban forests, Bonton frequently floods during a heavy rain. Access to fresh food requires a 3 hour round trip by public transportation. This used to be a place where hope seemed lost.

When William relocated to Dallas from New York after 9-11, he found work that was not initially a good fit, but despite his credentials and experience, could not find employment. This interesting chain of events led him to work for H.I.S. Bridgebuilders, a ministry that changed his life, and where now he helps to change the lives of others.

Upon moving to the neighborhood and getting to know several residents, one of the Bridgebuilder volunteers began seeing the challenges first hand. They sought out people in the community who wanted better, and things began to change from the inside out. William has learned that our part is to do what God is asking us to do, and the result belongs to God. We do what we do and let God do what He does!

I love his passion, enthusiasm, love for God and love for people. I hope you’ll listen and hear ALL that William has to offer!
