These informal conversations will introduce you to the women involved in the FAITHFUL project as they get to know each other better. The questions are prepared by the women themselves, with some being submitted from our Instagram community. This episode is the first of two parts with Janice Gaines and Rachael Lampa. They start with a question submitted by a FAITHFUL Instagram follower, who wanted to know how God's faithfulness has been shown to them through ministry. Grab some coffee and let's jump in! The Women who are part of the FAITHFUL project have had full summers and this fall we will gather together to write, share, and RECORD new music. More on that later....Until then, we felt it was important to introduce you to some of the women in the FAITHFUL community one on one. Like you're sitting across the table from them, sipping a fresh cup of coffee and swapping life stories. In this series we are calling "Coffee Dates", you'll hear these women interview each other, and answer questions sent to us on socials (and if you want to submit your own questions for a future episode, be sure to follow us!). Writer Savannah Locke picks up this conversation with host and founder Keely Scott. On this episode, we pick up with how the FAITHFUL book was being developed at an important time in Keely's family's journey, and how a quote written by Savannah hit her in a really profound way . This conversation spans TWO episodes, so this is part 2. Welcome to our coffee date. We at the Faithful project have been quietly working on a few new musical projects, this time based around the Psalms. We’ll be recording them in a few months to share with you later this year, but this week, in the midst of this week's particular national heartache, we wanted to share a special moment that happened at a writing camp late last year. Leslie Jordan, Trillia Newbell and Ann Voskamp were given the prompt of writing a song based on Psalm 94. What you’re about to hear was recorded on a single mic in the middle of the room right after they had written this song. It’s raw, real and we hope honors the very real pain in the world today. We grieve, but not as those who have no hope. Here are Leslie Jordan, Trillia Newbell and Ann Voskamp, as they share about Psalm 94 and this unreleased song “How Long?” You can change the life of a girl in poverty: compassion.com/faithful Faithful Project Instagram Faithful Project YouTube…

The live version of FAITHFUL’s “Go and Speak” album came out a couple weeks ago. To celebrate we thought we’d share some unreleased conversations captured during the live recording. This incredibly special time with Amy Grant, Ellie Holcomb and singer/songwriters Jess Ray and Taylor Leonhardt, of the band Mission House, was recorded backstage at The Ryman Auditorium here in Nashville right after they performed the FAITHFUL song “A Woman” for The Today Show. Let’s jump into the second half of this time and hear about taking the risk of setting the table for community, and we get to hear about everybody’s first concerts! The live version of FAITHFUL’s “Go and Speak” album just released last week. To celebrate we thought we’d share some unreleased conversations captured during the live recording. Today we grab a seat next to She Reads Truth’s Amanda Bible Williams and singer/songwriter Tamar Chipp as they discuss the idea of “Solidarity”. What does it mean that God stands in solidarity with us? How has the pandemic exposed our needs and weaknesses? And could that be a good thing!? In the end, we’ll learn a bit more about what it actually means to remember the goodness and faithfulness of God. This is a good one!…

As we get ready for this week’s release of the new live recording of FAITHFUL’s “Go and Speak” album , we’re sharing some unreleased conversations captured during that week’s recording sessions. In this episode we get to sit with Leslie Jordan and Sarah Macintosh, who have a unique perspective on the writing of the songs on this album and the writing of the first FAITHFUL book. They are a part of a writing workshop called “The Fold”, where they lead retreats for writers to create quickly around a series of prompts and then share those prompts with their fellow writers in a really affirming and constructive way. Mini versions of these workshops have kicked off every FAITHFUL writing camp, and they’re directly responsible for some of the most beautiful writing in the book and album. Let’s pull up a chair with Leslie and Sarah as they tell us more about the workshops and how they’ve chosen to lead this amazing group of creative women. We’ll hear, too, how writing and community go hand in hand, why writing in response to a prompt is so helpful, and why YOU, yes you, have more than enough to offer. Let’s listen.
