Auto-generated transcript:So the thing that strikes my mind is what is the result of that? What change does the Quran bring in ourselves, in our actions? And I want to tell you two stories. One story is with regard to the Quran changing somebody's life and the other one is the result of that. The first story is narrated by none other than Imam Al-Awzaie, Rahmatul Ali. Imam Al-Awzaie was one of the great Imams of the Sharia and he was the Imam of the Zahiri Masab and he is ranked on the same level as Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Shafi' and so on. Allah swt spread some things and doesn't spread some things so the Zahiri Masab is not a big Masab but Imam Al-Awzaie is very hugely respected, he is fatawar in the books of fiqh and he is very very well known and very respected Imam. So he says that they were going for Umrah and so in a caravan and those were the days when there were people, bandits used to loot these caravans because people went for Umrah and so on. Usually they would go for Umrah just before Ramadan and then they would stay on and so on until Dhul Hijjah. So they would do Hajj and then they would, after Dhul Hijjah they would come back. So they had all sorts of provisions and stuff with them so it was good loot for the people who were the highway robbers. So Imam Al-Azai says that we were in this caravan and we got raided by this bandit group and of course there was chaos absolutely, some people were getting wounded and beaten up and some people, maybe somebody got killed or what not. Imam Al-Azai says that in the middle of all this I suddenly found myself the head of that gang of thugs, gang of robbers. He said he was standing in front of me, he had a naked sword in his hand and he said to me, who are you? Imam Al-Azai said, I am so and so. He said what do you do? Imam Al-Azai says I teach children Quran, I teach children how to read Quran. He does not say I am an Imam of fiqh and I am this and that. He said I teach children to recite Quran. So this Robert Chief says, okay so recite some Quran for me. Decide some Quran for me. I am talking about the effect of the Quran on the heart. Who is this guy? He is the head of bandits, you are not talking about some great sheikh of Tasiyyat-ul-Nafs. The worst of the worst, he is a man looting people and killing people and so on. Al-Azai, may Allah have mercy on him, recites only one ayah. He says, that's it. One little ayah from Surah Dhu Zariyat, and in the heavens is your rizq, your sustenance and whatever you wanted and want and need is in the heavens. Al-Azai said the man started shivering. His sword dropped from his hand, fell from his head. And he says, this is the Quran? Al-Azai says yes. He says this is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Allah said this. He said yes. He said then why am I doing this? Then why are we doing this work? If our rizq is in the heavens, why are we robbing people? Allah said, I did not say anything. He said the man picked up his sword and put it in the scabbard. He called his people and said, they all came. He said Allah says that our sustenance is with him. In the heavens. So, I am making taba now. This work we are doing is haram. We should not be doing this. He said we knew this. Now this is proof. And I am leaving this work. You decide what you want to do for yourselves. His followers said we are your followers. Whatever you do, we do. You are our sheikh. You are our chief. So, if you leave this work, we leave this work. So, Alaudah and Haath-ul-Aal says they returned everybody their things and so on. They apologized to people who were hurt. They gave some money and whatnot. They left. The effect of the Quran on her made it. Then Alaudah and Haath-ul-Aal said well then we hamdillah we thanked Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and so on and we continued. And we reached Makkah. We went to Omra. All this happened. He says that one day after Salat-ul-Fajr I am making taba for the Kaaba and I hear somebody weeping with such a broken way. Not just crying.

×Auto-generated transcript:Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. Wa salatu wa salamu ala ash-shadab fil anbiya wal mursaleen Muhammadur Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa ala alihi wa sallam. Tasliman kathiran kathira. From Abadu, my brother asked me a question just now. And he said, is cigarette smoking haram? So I answered his question, but before I answer that for you, let me expand this a little more so you understand the principle. The principle of the Sharia as far as things which are prohibited, haram, forbidden, haram. There are two principles. One, everything which is prohibited is intrinsically by itself harmful. Islam does not prohibit anything which has benefits. Everything in Islam which is prohibited is by itself intrinsically harmful. So it is something which even if you did not have a specific rule for that, as a sensible, intelligent, knowledgeable human being, you would not indulge in that, you would not use it because it is harmful. So first principle. Second principle is that when something is prohibited, when something is haram, then everything associated with it is also haram. Right? So this piece, please understand, is very important. If something is haram, if something is prohibited, then everything connected with it is also haram. It's also prohibited. Let me give you an example before I come to cigarettes. Take for example, alcohol. Alcohol, consumption of alcohol, meaning drinking alcohol, drinking alcohol is haram. Drinking alcohol of any kind. Now with alcohol by inference, we also mean anything which is addictive, anything which alters the mind. So all forms of drugs, all forms of narcotics, all of these are prohibited. They're all haram. Number one. Number two, anything which is haram is haram irrespective of quantity. So it is not that you must, that the whole bottle of alcohol is haram. One drop is also haram. One puff on a joint, on a marijuana cigarette is haram. Pork is haram. One gram of pork is haram. One rasher of bacon is haram. One sausage is haram. The whole pig is haram. So irrespective of quantity, it's not the question of how many. It's the question, if it is haram, it's haram. And then I said, everything associated. Now for example, you might say, well, pork is haram. I'm not eating pork. But I have a restaurant in which we serve ham sandwiches and bacon sandwiches. Right? I have a pizza shop and we are selling pepperoni pizza. Is it permitted? No. Even though you are not eating it, you are not allowed to do anything concerning that. You might say, I'm not eating it. I'm not selling it. I'm not buying it. But I have a truck in which I transport pigs. Haram. I have a pig farm. Haram. I have a share in a company which raises pigs. I have not even seen the company. I've not gone anywhere near it. I just, on the road. I have a share. On the share market, stock market, I bought some shares. This company deals in pork products. Haram. Right? Everything do with it. Now I don't think I need to give you more examples. You can figure out your own examples. There are plenty of examples I can give you. Fundamental principle, if it is haram, number one, it is harmful by itself. Number two, it is haram irrespective of quantity. And number three, everything associated with it is haram. Now we come to the specific question which my brother asked about cigarettes. Are cigarettes harmful or beneficial? Go to a doctor, ask him. I want to improve my health. How many cigarettes a day should I smoke? Does any doctor ever tell you you must at least smoke one packet a day, you know, good for your health, good for your life? People may dispute. I mean, first of all, there's no dispute now. There's no dispute now. To say that cigarette smoking causes, there is a long list of stuff. It's not only lung cancer. Lung cancer is definitely there. But even other than that, many cardiac issues, many kinds of issues. Find me one person who said that cigarette smoking is beneficial for you, good for your health. Nobody.…

https://youtu.be/Omw0PzXGqPY Auto-generated transcript: We are out here walking the rain in Ashley Reservoir. And you can see it's coming down at a reasonable pace. It's not heavy, heavy, but it's still quite reasonable. And I remind myself and I remind you, just think about this. This is where reflection, Tadabbur, is so important. We just think about, okay, rain is falling, I'm getting wet.First of all, nobody dies from getting wet unless you're made of salt. But other than that, nothing will happen to you.Point is not that. Point is, think about this. What are we seeing here?We are seeing here, number one, a substance that is foreign to this earth.A substance that was sent.To this earth.4.5 billion years ago. This is not an exact estimate. This is the estimate of the people who know. That water came to the earth 4.5 billion years ago.In various ways.Through, internally through rocks, which Allah created. Also through tremendous storms. From space.Water came to three planets.Of the solar system. It came to Mercury.Where it instantly evaporated because Mercury is so close to the sun.It came to Mars.Where it froze solid.Where underground froze solid because of the cold. And it came to earth where because of the tilt of the axis of the earth. At an exact angle of 23 and a half degrees.Allah gave it the capacity for water to be held. This is the only material which simultaneously exists in three forms.Liquid, solid and gas.Water vapor, ice and water.4.5 billion years ago. Now, Allah created everything from water.Which he mentioned in the Quran. And then Allah created a self-purification and regeneration system. For this to remain with us so that the goodness doesn't go away. And that is the system of precipitation. So this rain which is falling here is water which was absorbed, which evaporated from the oceans of the earth. And we don't know exactly which oceans. It didn't come from a specific place. But from the oceans of the earth. This water which is now raining down on me and Varanavar who is with me.Evaporated from some oceans or many oceans. And went into the atmosphere.Converted to water vapor.Rose up in the air.Traveled across the globe.Rose up high enough for the vapor to get cold enough. That atmosphere to be cold enough for it to condense. And that condenses. And that condensation is falling on us now as water. The water that was absorbed from the oceans was salt water. Not fit to drink.Impure.The water that is raining down on us.The same water.Rained down on us pure.Fit to drink.Fit to use or whatever you like.Entire purification process happens. And it's the same water being recycled. There's no new water coming to the earth from space.Same water coming to the earth from space.Same water coming to the earth from space.Same water coming to the earth from space.Same water being recycled.Purified and recycled.Comes down to us.SubhanAllahiladheem. SubhanAllahilaykum. How do you thank Allah for this?If you, a person can exist without food. For example three things.Air, food and water.A person can exist without air for about three minutes.A person can exist without food for almost three months. But a person cannot exist without water. For more than three days. After three days, you start getting dementia. The balance of electrolytes in your body changes. And you go mad.And then you die.A very nasty death. In three days. Without food. For a month you're fine. For more than a month you're fine. This is water.Absolutely critical.Comes from Allah .Free.And that's why when you walk in the rain, think about all this.Think about the fact that it's not just rain. You don't say, oh my God, I'm getting wet.No, say, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah.Allah is sending this. There's so much, so much blessing in it.And if I didn't have this, what would I do?So interestingly, if you look at the issue of rain,it's interesting how language is influenced by cultureand culture is influenced by weather.Because in the East, in the hot countries,in the tropics,…
Auto-generated transcript:Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. My dear respected brothers, sisters, elders. Alhamdulillah this year we celebrated Eid al-Adha as one community. Everyone coming together for the pleasure of Allah SWT in fulfillment of His command where He declared Which means the believers are but one brotherhood. So make peace between your brothers and be mindful of Allah so that you may be shown mercy. The result was beautiful where for the first time in the history of Western Massachusetts almost 5,000 Muslims prayed Salatul Eid al-Adha together. I ask Allah SWT to always keep our hearts together and enable us to resolve any differences that may arise from time to time respectfully in the light of the Quran and Sunnah alone. More concerned about guarding the Prophet and the Prophet's family and the Prophet's family and the Prophet's family. The fact that Allah SWT mentions making peace and reconciliation means that conflict is always a possibility. I remind you that conflict is never the problem. It is how we deal with it which can either help us to draw closer or fall apart. It is our choice and we are accountable for it. Allah SWT commanded us to be united and remain together. Allah SWT said in Surah Al-Imran And hold firmly to the rope of Allah SWT together and do not be divided. Remember Allah SWT's favor upon you when you were enemies. Then He, united your hearts. So you by His grace became brothers. And you were at the brink of a fiery pit. And He saved you from it. This is how Allah SWT makes His revelations clear to you so that you may be rightly guided. I remind myself and you that Allah SWT commanded us to remain united and not to create divisions and enmity between each other. He did not tell us not to have different opinions or not to disagree. It is about unity, not uniformity. Allah SWT commanded us not to allow such differences to form the basis of dividing the ummah of Rasulullah SAW. He called being divided as being on the brink or edge of a pit of fire and said that it was, He, Jalla Jalaluhu, who saved us from falling into it. We ask Allah SWT to save us from enmity towards one another and thereby falling into the pit of fire. To ensure our material and spiritual safety, it is essential to develop emotional maturity and to be able to keep the collective welfare of the ummah as the goal of all collective decision making. This is not an impossible or impossible. It is an idealistic goal. To encourage us, we have examples of the conduct of the Sahaba, Ridwanullahi Alim Ajmain, who always put the ummah ahead of themselves. Let me quote just one of these finest of examples from the early history of Islam and the Muslims. When Sayyidina Abu Bakr al-Siddiq passed away and Sayyidina Umar ibn al-Khattab succeeded him, almost the first act, that he did was to send a Farman, to send an order relieving Khalid bin Walid of supreme command of the Rashidun Khilafah's army and appointing his assistant Sayyidina Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah in his place as the commander. This order reduced Sayyidina Khalid bin Walid from being commander in chief to private, in one sentence. Imagine you are broken from being the commander in chief. In today's language, you would say, general, of course, maybe field marshal. One stroke, you are now private. You're an ordinary soldier in the army. There's no instance to my knowledge in military history to compare with this. This never happened. You might ask what Sayyidina Khalid bin Walid al-Anu had done to deserve this treatment. The answer is he did nothing. He had not done anything to deserve this treatment.…
Auto-generated transcript:In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. And peace and blessings be upon the honourable Prophet and the messengers. Muhammad and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Peace be upon you all. My brothers and sisters, somebody sent me a very nice quote today from Twitter. And that quote was, six months from now, you can have six months of excuses or six months of progress. Six months from now, you will have either six months of excuses or six months of progress. And guess who that depends on? Right? Who does it depend on? Who does it depend on? So my question to myself, and I request you to ask the same question to yourself is, what do you want to do with your time? Because Allah told us very clearly, Allah said, for the human being is only what he works for. Not what he talks about, not what he dreams about, not what he posts on social media about, not what he writes about. What he works for. Talking about work is not work. Posting on social media about work is not work. Dreaming about work is not work. Wishing about work is not work. Telling the world about work is not work. Only work is work. Because a day will come when we will face Malakul Maut. We know that day will come. We do not know when that day will come. But we know it will come. And at that time, we will truly understand the value of time. Not now. Now it all looks like fun and games. Just imagine, this won't happen to you or me, but just imagine, just to get the impact of it. Say Malakul Maut comes and stands in front of you. And Malakul Maut says, I will give you five minutes. Okay? Your time for death is now, but I'll give you five minutes. First question, will you take it or not? Five minutes. Yes or no? Why? What can happen in five minutes? How can your life change in five minutes? Maybe you led a whole life of disobedience to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. You're getting five minutes now before you die. Can that change anything? Yes or no? This is what. Speak. Speak. Speak. Speak. Speak. Yes. How? Forgiveness. Forgiveness. Exactly. In that five minutes, you can weep and cry and make sincere tawbah and Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala promise to forgive. So, we have a chance of getting out. Right? You won't get this five minutes, believe me. Nobody gets it. It is all a lie. But today, you have that five minutes and a string of five minutes. For free. As much as you want. What are you doing with it? If you are going to sit in a Majeed and a Khatera and you're going to joke amongst yourselves, that's a choice. Do it. We are getting used to in this country. I mean, there was a time when I first came here, I used to get very upset. Today, I don't. I ignore. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. Because what I told myself is, why do I care more about your life than you care about it yourself? You want to waste your life? Be my guest. No problem, free. Waste it. I'm not going to waste it. So, what is six months? Six months, I'll tell you. Just one. Six months. Six months, I'll tell you, just to give you one example, right? We walk five miles a day, Mara and myself. Take an average of 30 days a month, because there are 31 days also, just for the sake of calculation. 30 days a month, 680 days. 180 days multiplied by 5 is 900. If we walk six months, 900 miles, you can be in Louisville, Kentucky. You can be in Charlotte, North Carolina. But if you talk about walking 900 miles, you'll still be here. You will walk 900 miles, how? If you walk 900 miles. There's no other way. And of course, walking 900 miles will improve your health, better strength of legs, lower blood sugar, better blood pressure, right? You will be fitter and finer and more energetic and the works. It's also excellent for thinking. If I'm working in my mind about something, I go for a walk.…
Auto-generated transcript:Alhamdulillah. My brothers and sisters, that is why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala taught us to make dua for guidance to the path, the Siratul Mustaqeem. The path of those who He blessed and not those who incurred His anger or were misguided. Think about this. We make this dua at least 17 times a day when we recite Surah Al-Fatiha in every rakat of every Farsalah. Just the Farsalah is total of 17 rakats. Then of course Sunan and Nawafil and so on and so forth. There's no salah which is valid unless Surah Al-Fatiha is recited in every rakat. And what do we ask? We ask for Hidna Siratul Mustaqeem. We say, O Allah, guide us to the path, the straight path, the path of guidance, the path of righteousness. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala accepts. He accepted the dua of Ibrahim alayhi salam and he decreed and said, He is the one who has sent his Messenger ﷺ with right guidance and the religion of truth, making it prevail over all others and sufficient is Allah as a witness. I remind myself and you that the religion is Islam. And this is the religion of every prophet. Every messenger. This was the religion of Ibrahim alayhi salam or Ibrahim. This was the religion of Musa or Moses or Isa or Jesus. This was the religion of Muhammad ﷺ. This was the religion of all the prophets who are mentioned. He is Islam. Submission to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. The question to ask therefore is, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala accepted my dua. I made dua Hidna Siratul Mustaqeem. Allah accepted that dua and he sent his Messenger ﷺ. But am I following him or somebody else? Let us ask before we are asked. Because that is the first question in our grave. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala not only accepted our dua, but he also told us that the way of Muhammad ﷺ, Islam, would become the most preferred and prevalent way of life on earth. Today, we wonder how certain negative harmful lifestyles have become so prevalent and powerful when just a few, few years ago they were despised and kept hidden. That is the power of living your choice with confidence. No matter what it is, if you do it with confidence, the world will accept. If this is possible with negative things, how much more with positive ones? But when the ignorant are confident and the knowledgeable are diffident and apologetic, ignorance will prevail. Remember that when the truth must be spoken, silence is culpable. The Prophet ﷺ and all those who followed him will be our witnesses. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala called the Prophet ﷺ, his blessing on the believers and declared his mission. And he said, Allah said, Allah said, which means indeed, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has done, the believers a great favor by raising a messenger from among them, reciting to them his revelations, purifying them and teaching them the book and wisdom. For indeed, they had previously been clearly astray. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala emphasized two things. The fact that the sending of his messenger, who was also human, is a double blessing. That we got a messenger and he is from among us. And that before the coming of the messenger, sallallaahu alaihi wasallam, the believers had no way, were misguided. This is the most certain evidence that guidance is only in the way of and through Muhammad ﷺ. And all other ways that do not come from him or bypass him are misguided. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala granted Ibrahim alaihi salam his dua, but changed the order of what he asked for, which underlines for us the importance of the sequence of learning. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sent Rasulullah ﷺ with four connected duties. These are four progressive stages of learning and guidance. Four steps to Jannah. They are, yathlu walaihim ayatihi, recite, wa yuzakkihim, purify, wa yu'allimuhum alkitab, to teach, wal hikmah, to demonstrate. From the perspective of the audience, of the learners, these four, our four steps would be to listen, when he recites, to submit, when he purifies, to learn, when he teaches,…
Auto-generated transcript:Wолаazibullah khair Tawāq. My respected brothers, sisters, elders. The ayat which I recited for you from Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, which means, and remember when Ibrahim alayhi salam said, My Rabb, make this city of Mecca secure and provide food, fruits to its people, those among them who believe in Allah in the last day. He, Jalla Jalaluhu, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, the glorious and merciful. The magnificent answered, as for those who disbelieve, I will let them enjoy themselves for a while and then I will send them to the torment of the fire. What an evil destination. And remember when Ibrahim alayhi salam raised the foundation of the house with Ismail alayhi salam. Both of them praying, O Rabb, O our Rabb, accept this from us. You are indeed the all-hearing, all-knowing. Our Rabb, our Lord, make us both fully submit to you. And from our descendants, raise a nation that will submit to you. Show us our rituals and turn to us in grace. You are truly the acceptor of repentance, most merciful. O our Rabb, O our Lord, raise from among them a messenger who will recite to them your revelation. Teach them the book and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, you alone are the Almighty, all-wise. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala answered his dua. And made the actions, his actions and the actions of his little family, the actual rituals of worship that are connected with the house that he built. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala made that an act of worship that is sufficient to be done once in a lifetime. He caused the multitudes to come to the sacred house from all parts of the earth, using every means of transport with only one desire, to see the house. And to worship Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in its sacred environs. This is real honor where people through the ages, now for over 4,000 years, make the journey that Ibrahim made with his family. And they do what they did. Their actions become the actions, the rituals of a once-in-a-lifetime worship that bestow on them the blessings of Allah. And bestows the honor of forgiveness from all sins. This was the, this was his, Ibrahim alaihi salam's attitude of adab, of respect of huge reverence and submission to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala alone, abudiyat, where though they were building the Kaaba on the command of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, in the way that he guided them to do it, they didn't take this for granted. And Ibrahim alaihi salam made a dua, begging Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to accept their work. Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka anta assami wal alim. O our Rabb, accept this from us. You are indeed the all-hearing, all-knowing. To do good deeds, but with the anxiety that they may not be good enough to be accepted, is a sign of Iman. It's a sign of faith. It's a sign of Taqwa. We don't take it for granted. I'm doing good. Allah has to accept. Allah does not have to do anything. This is the opposite. The opposite of that is a sign of arrogance, and probably a guarantee that the deed will not be accepted. Then he, Ibrahim alaihi salam, made dua for a nation of righteous people to be raised, so that they would spread goodness in the land. Let us remind ourselves, we who live in a world of technology, and in awe of its creators and manipulators, and we call them wizards, that it is values, ethics, and morals, that define a civilization, not the tools they use. Today we call the Greeks and the Romans as the civilization of Greece and Rome. They were not civilizations. They were death cults. They were hugely over-militarized nations, whose constant work was war. There's not a single year in over 2,000 years, of Roman rule, that there wasn't a war. That's not civilization. That's breaking things. That's not building anything. Civilization is where you build things, not where you destroy things, not where your greatness is counted by the number of people you murder. Julius Caesar, when he conquered Gaul, which is currently France, there was a,…
Auto-generated transcript:My brothers and sisters, we are looking at the third question from the questions of the grave. And the first question was, who is your Rabb? And the second question was, what is your Deen? And the third question is, what do you say about the man who was sent among you? And the answer, of course, is that we say that he was the Rasul of Allah, sallallahu alayhi wasallam, and that we followed him. And then the question will be asked, what did you do? And the answer to that is, I read the Quran. And I believed in it. And I lived according to it. As I remind myself and you again and again, the issue is not knowing these answers now and repeating them or memorizing them and repeating them, but living our life in a way where these answers will come out. But starting withیا. And this was a Milanese. And I am going to start from Iran, now that I have opened this book to you, but I want to start from the person who sent me the question to ask and to tell you a discussion, because I know I must tell you the matter. Alright? Please do comment if you want. Okay. In this regard, we are also cloudy with our camp. Yay! Yay! Yeah. God bless you His Majesty. This is wonderful idea. Do it, boy. Shukar pard naya Jin. See if you didn't get this answer as well. Another said, the answer we know. He was the Rasool of Allah and I followed him. Question to ask ourselves is, is that the truth? Is that the truth? See in life, there are different kinds of ways in which we love the things around us. We love our parents, we love our children, we love the place we live in, we love our language, we love our culture, many things we love. And there is nothing like Allah , but we also love Allah and His Messenger . Now, all the different ways. Things that we love, each love has a requirement, there is a takhaza. The way you love your wife is not the same way you love your mother. You love both of them. But you love your wife in a different way, you love your mother in a different way. You love your wife by being good to her, kind to her, by taking care of her needs and so on and fulfilling her needs. You love your mother by serving her. And there is a difference between taking care of and serving. Today, our problems are because we, for our own self, we flipped it. So we take care of the mothers and we serve the wife. Then we complain. The question is, Allah gave us, we love our children. What is the meaning of loving the children? We also love our cats. We love our cats. We love our cats. We love our cats. We love our cats. We love our cats. We love our cats. We love our cats. We also love our cats or dogs or birds or whatever you keep, pets. Is there a difference between how you love a pet and how you love your child? In most places, there is not. The same, we do the same thing. Feed it. Make sure it is dry. Make sure it is warm. Make sure it is healthy. My job is over. Job is not over. Job is not, that is a job over for the pet, for the cat. for the child. For the child, the job is the tarbiyah of the child. Loving your children means that you will spend time with the children, tarbiyah of the children, training their children, teaching their children, teaching their children not to, while the khatir is going on, not to sit in the masjid with their back to the wall, scrolling on your phones. This is part of the tarbiyah of children. If you are not doing that, it means that you have not done the tarbiyah of the children. So taking care of children means tarbiyah of the children. Taking care of parents means serving the parents. Right? So what is the meaning of loving Allah and loving his Nabi alayhi salatu wasalam? Loving Allah is not simply to say, I love Allah. It's not simply to sing, you know, anasheed, hams of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. A nice voice. That is not love of Allah. That is nice to have. If you do it, you know how to do it, do it. I'm not saying it's haram. It's not haram. But love of Allah is obedience of Allah.…
Auto-generated transcript:We were talking about the questions that we have to answer. And as I mentioned, I remind myself and you, there are three questions that we have to answer in the grave that have to do with our Aqidah, with our creed, with our belief. Then there are four questions that we have to answer on the Day of Judgment, which have to do with our Aamad, our actions. The first of those questions we mentioned and talked about that last night, and that was, Man Rabbuk, who is your Rabb? The second question is, Ma Dinuk, what is your religion? Now, I remind myself and you that there is a difference between Deen and Madhab. There is a difference between Deen and Madhab. A Madhab has to do with rituals concerning worship and with certain issues of halal and hara and so on. Right? A Deen has to do with a complete way of life. So Islam is a Deen. In Islam, we have different Madhabs, which we follow until last. No problem with that. But the Deen is Islam. Allah said, Allah said, With Allah, there is only one Deen. That is Islam. And Allah said, Anyone who comes on the Day of Judgment with any other Deen other than Islam, will be among the losers. He should be rejected. So, very important. Allah said, Today I have completed your Deen. So, I have completed your Deen. Today I have completed your Deen. And I have given you my favor. And I have completed your Deen. Islam is a Deen. Now, therefore, it is very important for us to ensure that we learn and we practice. There is no practice possible. without learning. May Allah have mercy on us. We don't seem to give any importance to learning. Islam, learning about Islam is like learning about... in terms of learning, I mean it's not like learning about anything else because nothing else will take us into Jannah or Jayaan, but Islam will. If you practice Islam, you go to Jannah, otherwise you don't. But in terms of the time, the effort, the focus, it's the same. So just like you can't say, you can't say, well, I will learn cycling by watching some YouTube videos. No. You have to get onto a cycle, you have to get a cycle, get onto a cycle, fall off a few times, learn, get your balance, right? If you are training to be something more complicated than that, cooking for example, or just to be a good cook, you can't say something more complicated than that, say you want to become a physician, a doctor, a surgeon, right? Nobody becomes all these things by watching TikTok videos or by watching some YouTube videos. You do that by giving it your full attention, full time, following a prescribed program under the guidance of a scholar. What is a residency program which you do in the hospitals? It's guidance under scholars. These scholars are called doctors. Okay. You can't say, well, I joined medical school and now I want to do heart surgery on you and please lie down, give me a knife. No. Systematic. But somehow we have a different thinking with our, in the case of Islam. We think that Islam is just, you know, baby listening to a khatira or something, listening to khutbah. All this is good. But these are like the frills. In addition to everything else, I go and sit in the khatira, I listen to a khatira, I listen to a khutbah, I go and listen to a bayaan, and nothing wrong with that. But if this is the only way in which you are getting the, excuse me, don't fool yourself. Do not fool yourself. You will not get the deal like this. You have to apply yourself. Systematic process of study. I'm not even going into, the standards of our Salafi Salihin, of the great scholars of Islam. Because today when we talk about that, it seems like it's some fantasy, you know, like, is it even possible? It is possible. It was possible. They did it. And that's how you and I, we call ourselves Muslims. Alhamdulillah. Abdul Abid Mubarak, one of the greatest of the Tabiur. He said, I learned adab. He said, I learned adab. For 30 years before I touched the subject of Islam. Adab. Just how to behave.…

And peace and blessings be upon the honour of the prophets and messengers. And praise be to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and upon his family and his companions. Peace be upon you all. My brothers and sisters, people ask me different questions. Somebody asked me today about the issues of investing in stocks. And say which are halal stocks and different bodies certify certain companies and they have different reasons for certifying companies and all that. So, my answer is very simple. My answer is that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, through his messenger Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, gave us a standard. And the standard is seven questions. There are seven questions. Three questions that we will be asked in our grave when we die. And four questions that we will have to answer on the Day of Judgment. So, seven questions. So, my... Advice to myself and you is that when it comes to any decision in life, irrespective, any decision, whether it is marriage, whether it is investment, whether it is which school to go to, what job to take, what to eat, what to drink, what not to eat, what not to drink, anything, you name the question. Anytime you come to a decision point, refer it to the question that concerns that decision. You don't have to look for... look at all the seven questions, but the question with respect to that decision. And if the answer is yes, do it. If the answer is no, don't do it. I'll give you examples. First of all, what are the seven questions? What are the three questions in the grave? Anybody? What is the first question which you will be asked? Okay. First, man rabbuq. Who is your Rab? The malaika are not asking, who is Rabbul Alameen? Who is the creator of the heavens and the earth? They're not asking that question. They're saying, who is your Rab? Right? Man rabbuq. What is the second question? Ma deenuk. What is your religion? What did you believe in? And what is the third question? They will say, what do you say about the man who was sent among you? And that is Rasulullah . Three questions in the grave. All three have to do with aqidah, with our belief. It's not a question of, is it good or bad? Who is your Rab? Who is, what is your deen? Who is your Prophet ? Then there are four questions on the Day of Judgment. One of those questions has two parts. Four questions. What are the four questions on the Day of Judgment? We have the hadith of Musa . He said that the feet of the Banu Adam will not move from before their Rabb Jalla Jalaluhu until they answer four questions. You know, I remember, on a side note, I'll come to you in a minute. I remember seeing, I watched a film which was about a prison. So, in this prison, they have different floors and the corridors are made of steel mesh, very thick steel mesh. And the prisoners, I saw that they were wearing shoes with metal soles. And obviously, when they walk, it makes a huge racket. Bang, bang, bang. I'm thinking to myself, why do they have to have metal soles and so on? And then in the film, there is a fight. And as soon as there is a fight, the prison guard simply goes and throws a switch. And there is a very powerful electromagnet in the mesh. It grabs the soles of the shoes and the prisoners are locked in place. They can't move. They can't move. So, if a guy is running, his feet are locked. He falls flat on his face. He can't move. And I remember this, Hadith of Nabi said, the feet of the children of Adam will not move from before the Rabb until they answer these four questions. What are the four questions? What is the first one? Omri. Omri. First one. Omri. Omri. Omri. First one. Yeah. First one. What did you do with your life, with the time that you spent in this world? Next. Second one. Maa shabaabi. What did you do with your youth? Third one. Hilm. Hilm.…
Auto-generated transcript:Alhamdulillah we finished the Yawm al-Arafah today. We ask Allah to reward us in keeping with His Majesty and Grace and to grant our duas and to give us the opportunity for this again and again year after year. The people who are in Hajj, they have completed Yawm al-Arafah standing in Arafah and right now they would be in Muzdarifah, they would have finished the maybe even the Tawaf and so on. And Saeed and waiting for Yawm al-Nahar tomorrow for Eid and we also wait for Eid al-Fitr inshallah tomorrow and Eid al-Adha tomorrow inshallah. We ask Allah to help us to celebrate that in a way that pleases His Majesty and Grace. The Hajj is a beautiful journey. We ask Allah to enable us to do it. Those who have not done it. Make it your Niyah that you will do it next year. That is the number one. It's a Rukur of Islam. It's not just something which is just a Faridah. It's a Rukur. And of course obviously it's a Faridah. So it is something which is absolutely critical, must be done at the first possible opportunity. And I can tell you that it is an Ibadah to be done in your youth. Don't wait till you get old to do Hajj. It's very difficult. When you get old it becomes very difficult. But in your youth, it's very difficult. When you are young, alhamdulillah, it's good. So do it in your youth as soon as you can. Right? If you just think about this, when the person... Hajj is a reminder of the entire cycle of life. When a person puts on his Ihram, he is effectively reminding himself that a day will come when that is how he will live this world. In two pieces of glass. Everything he has will be gone from him. Nothing to destroy. Nothing to distinguish him. Whether he is rich or poor, whether he was a king or he was a pauper, whoever he was. Whether he was a scholar or whether he was ignorant, makes no difference. He will go in the same two pieces of glass. Just like when he puts on his Ihram, they all put on the same clothes. There is nothing to distinguish one from the other. Because in the sight of Allah, everybody is equal. And then when he makes Tawaf, he reminds himself that he is equal. He is equal. He reminds himself that this is the house to which Ibn-i-Aim called the other. He invited. Allah said, you call and I will send. And they come from every part of the globe. In every conceivable means of transport. To this day, there are people who are going to Hajj walking. People are going to Hajj on horseback. Three people from Spain have gone to Hajj this year on horseback. People have gone to Hajj walking. I have a friend of mine in Saudi Arabia. He lives in Jeddah. He is a Muslim. He told me his grandfather and three uncles. His grandfather had four sons. So one son, he told him to stay back. He was in Afghanistan in a place called Swat in Pakistan, Swat Valley. So he, grandfather said, one son, stay here with your mother. They will look after the property. The other three sons he took. And they walked from Swat to Makkah. On the way, closer to Makkah. They got attacked by a gang of Muslims. They were very angry. They were very angry. They have a big mouth. I am a robber. Just these four Bhatans, right. All they had were sticks. They slammed the daylights out of the people. Their leader they captured. They tied him up on ropes and they took him to Makkah. And they handed him over to the police. They say who are these? We are safe. We are unjudged. Who are these people? They are trying to attack us. So what happened? This happened. Take them. So the Saudi Government gives them award and all sorts of things. They arrested these ones and they are doing justice to them. So they have a lot of money. So they took them as a court. That is it. They walked and went for Hajj. Until today, there are people who walk and they walk. Right? Sheikh Abdullah was saying his grandfather took one year from Morocco to Mecca and back. He was 22 years old when he left for Hajj. He had no money. So he would go to some place,…

Auto-generated transcript:My brothers and sisters, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has caused us to be Muslim, be raised as Muslims. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has caused us and granted us, inshallah, and we ask Allah to do that. To grant us Yawm al-Arafah, which here in America will be tomorrow, inshallah. And tomorrow, which is the 5th of June 2025, will be the Yawm al-Arafah in America. As per the sighting of the moon, Abdul Hijjah, which was sighted widely. And this day of Arafah on the 5th of June is based on actual physical sighting of the moon. As per the sunnah of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. The Yawm al-Arafah, please note the word Arafah refers to the day of Arafah. And when we say Arafat, it refers to the plains of Arafat outside Mecca, where we stand on this day, B meaning the people who have gone for Hajj, they stand on that, in Arafat, the plain of Arafat on that day. So the Yawm al-Arafah is the name given to the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. Please note and understand. This has nothing to do with people standing in the plains of Arafat. This is coincidental. But the day is the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned in the Hadith about the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, that these are the best days of the entire Islamic year. He said, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, in the Hadith mentioned in Musnad Ibn Ahmad, there are no days greater and more beloved. to Allah than these first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. As we know, Daratul Qadr is the pinnacle of the last 10 nights of Ramadan, and therefore it is the best night of the year. Similarly, the day of Arafah is the pinnacle of the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, and thus it is the best day of the entire year. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala also mentioned these days, where He said, wa'l-fajri wa'l-ayyal in Ashr. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala took an oath, by the dawn, Pajr, and He said, the 10 nights, the layal in Ashr. Now the Mufassirin have agreed upon, that this refers to the, these 10 days and those nights, and the only night which is superior to that is Daratul Qadr, and therefore, the dalil of the superiority of these days, is from the Quran, and, from the Hadith, and from the Hadith of Rasulullah . Now, some of the merits of the day of Arafah, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala mentioned in Surat Al-Buruj, wa'l-samai zaati al-buruj, wa'l-yaumi al-mau'ud, wa-shahidin wa mashhud, by the sky containing, the Qura'at, the constellations, and by the promised day, and by a witness, and one witnessed. The first three ayat of Surat Al-Buruj. Regarding these ayat, Rasulullah s.a.w. said in the Hadith in Tirmidhi, the promised day is the day of resurrection, the one witnessed is the day of Arafah, and the witness is Friday. The sun does not rise or set upon a day, that is more virtuous than it, meaning, the day of, Arafah. Rasulullah s.a.w. said in the Hadith in Muslim Sharif, that there is no day on which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala frees, more people from the fire, than on the day of Arafah. Indeed, he draws near, and boasts of them to the angels and says, what do these people want? Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala proudly displays, these are my people. Undoubtedly, it would be a wasted opportunity, if we did not, try to be one of those people, who Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala draws close to him, and he forgives. Layatul Qadr is the night when the Quran was first sent down, and the day of Arafah is the day, when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala revealed the ayat of the Quran, where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, high spiritual, the different verses, and temporarily hand down the Quranic Kayn, Allah sabeed to you, the enemies of始رائيل. Auto-generated transcript:Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Alhamdulillah. My dear brothers and sisters and elders, we come to the last of the reminders I want to make about these 10 days, and that is the days of Hajj and the day of Arafah. These 10 days are very significant because they also include the days of Hajj. And Allah SWT said about the day of Arafah, which is the day of Hajj when people are standing in Arafah. He said there is no day on which Allah SWT frees more people from the hellfire than on the day of Arafah. Hajj is the pillar of Islam as we know, and which must be performed at the earliest opportunity. Rasulullah SAW warned us against delaying the performance of Hajj, and warned us that delay may result in deprivation and deep regret. Rasulullah SAW is reported to have said, to perform Hajj, which is the first obligation, obligatory for Hajj, as none of you knows what may happen to him. He said, you don't know, maybe you will die before that. Maybe you will not get time after that, do it. So as soon as you have the opportunity, go make Hajj. And this is in Musnad Imam Ahmad, in Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah. And then also in Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah, Nabi SAW said, which means, whoever wants to do Hajj, let him hasten, let him hurry to do so. Hajj reminds us about the virtue of obedience, because it's rituals, are an enactment of the actions of Ibrahim and his family, which Allah SWT declared to become and to be rituals of worship. They did those actions because they needed to. We do them because they did them, in honour of them, and in honour of that Allah SWT forgives our sins. This is the wages of obedience. Allah SWT caused those actions, not just to be remembered, but He made them the rituals, the rituals of Hajj. Abu Hurairah narrated that he heard Rasul saying, whoever performs Hajj and does not commit any obscenity or transgression, shall return free from sins as he was on the day his mother gave birth to him. And this is Haib Bukhari, we make this dua for all those people who have gone for Hajj this year, including those who went from here. And we ask Allah SWT to enable us to go next year, InshaAllah, especially those who haven't done Hajj. In the name of Allah, make it your topmost priority. If you are eligible, meaning if you have the money and you have the health, then that has to become the number-one priority for you, InshaAllah. Abdullah bin Umar narrated that Rasul said, the one striving in the cause of Allah, Jihad feeh Sableeelillah, and the one performing Hajj, and the one performing Umrah, these are all the guests of Allah. He called them, and they responded to His call. and he answers their dua. And this is in Ibn Majah. It's a beautiful opportunity to ask Allah SWT for whatever you want, and Allah SWT promised to give it. Hajj is a lesson in life which is worth reflecting on. When the pilgrim puts on, when the hajj puts on his ihram, he is reminded that this will be the way in which he will begin the journey of his eternal life in two pieces of cloth. During hajj, he stands equal to everyone else there, without any sign to distinguish him from anyone else, shorn of all his pomp and splendor, alone as a supplicant. On the plain of Arafah, he stands bareheaded and disheveled with two million others, begging Allah SWT for his mercy and forgiveness. When he does tawaf, he is reminded of Khalilullah Ibrahim AS, our father and the father of the ummah, who built the house to be a place of sanctuary and a place of peace. He is reminded of the blessing which Allah SWT has bestowed upon humankind in the form of this blessed water, which millions of people have drunk through the ages. And Rasulullah SAW said, make a niyah and Allah will accept that dua. He said, zamzam is for whatever it is, drug for. When he does tawaf, between Safa and Marwah, he is reminded of the actions of our mother Haja AS and the mother of Ismail AS, the wife of Khalilullah Ibrahim AS. She didn't sit and wait for the help of Allah SWT...…
Auto-generated transcript:In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise belongs to Allah. My dear brothers and sisters and elders, we are in the middle of the best days of the year that Allah has blessed us with. We thank Allah for giving us life, for guiding us to Islam and for allowing us to witness another sacred month, the month of Dhul Hijjah, particularly the first ten days, which are the most virtuous days in the calendar. These days are a divine gift from Allah for our spiritual growth, for our to earn hasanat through acts of worship and the opportunity to earn immense reward. Allah mentioned these days and He said, By the dawn and by the ten nights. When Allah takes an oath by something, it is an indication of its great significance and status. The Mufassireen are agreed upon that and including Ibn Kathir and others, that when Allah said, Layali Nashab, the ten nights, it also refers to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. That these ten nights, Walfajri wa Layali Nashab refers to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la mentioned night, but it also includes the day of Dhul Hijjah. And we have the supporting dhalil of Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la mentioning with respect to Zakariya, when he said, You will not speak for three days in one place and three nights for another place. So it means that the days and the nights, it means the same thing. Rasulullah , whose words are the truth, further emphasized the importance of these days in several authentic hadiths in Sayyid Bukhari, which are the words of the Prophet . Rasulullah is reported to have said, there are no days in which righteous deeds, good deeds, are more beloved to Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la than these days. They asked him, not even jihad in the path of Allah. He said, not even jihad, except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth and does not return, returns with nothing. Rasulullah is telling us that, acts of worship during Dhul Hijjah are not accepted by Allah. The Prophet is reported that the day of judgement is not even jihad in all the paths of Allah. They said, there are less days in which righteous deeds are not accepted by Allah than these days. The Sahaba, Ridhu Allah, Alayhim Ulay, Wain, Wain. They asked him, not even jihad in the path of Allah. worship during these 10 days such as salah fasting charity zikr recitation of quran and so on and more beloved to him than doing the same deeds in any other days that is why rasul sallallahu used to fast all the first nine days of the hijjah and especially the day of gharafat which obviously if you to the fire if you fast the nine days the ninth day is the day of gharafa and he said that fasting on the day of gharafa expiates and wipes out the sins of the past year and the coming year and this is a muslim the day of gharafa or yawal is the name for the ninth of the hijjah just as yamun nahar is the name given to the day of which is the 10th we have been instructed to celebrate it and to fast on it wherever and whenever it occurs in our country of residence we have not been instructed to follow saudi arabia or any other country and if anyone interested i will give you the latest fatwa from the legend of roma of saudi arabia which specifically states this do not follow saudi arabia follow the sighting in your country so we have not been we have asked we have been asked to use that day for our benefit not to create dissonance and division and conflict in the country while notMi6aeidaiwa vyekass aun eye ati I remind myself and you that we must become greedy about accumulating good deeds. Just think of how greedy we are with accumulating wealth. We do not miss any opportunity. We don't care how painful it may be and how hard we may need to work or what other activity or interest we may need to give up. And may Allah help us, we don't even worry about whether it is halal or haram. But we must get wealth, anyhow. If there is an opportunity to make money,…

Auto-generated transcript:I will tell you since you are young boys, I'll tell you a story about another young boy. And about this young boy, the story refers to these days that we are going through. This young boy was his father. He didn't meet his father. His father left him in a particular place just after he was born. And after that, the father came back when he was maybe 10 years old or something like that. And the father was in his 90s. And the father took him for a walk. And as they are walking, the father says to him, I have seen in my dream that I am slaughtering you for Allah. He said, O daughter, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, if Allah wills, of those who are patient. Allah says that Ibrahim, when Ismail was old enough to walk with him, his father said to him, I have seen in my dream that I am slaughtering you. Look, what do you see? And his son says, O my father, do as you have been commanded. And inshallah, you will find me among those who are patient. Right? So the father, he hasn't seen the father. He hasn't seen the father for his whole life, effectively. And the first time he sees his father, this is the conversation. The father says, I have seen in my dream that I am slaughtering you for the sake of Allah. And then his father asks him a very strange question. He says to him, He said, you look, what do you see? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? He says, you look, what do you see? And the answer of the boy, the amazing thing, first of all, if somebody asks you a question, look, what do you see? What is the automatic response to that? What will you say? So look where? If I say look, look where? In my pocket? Behind me? Outside? The boy does not ask. Because he knows what his father is talking about. Imagine somebody who is raised in such a way that such a question does not confuse him, it does not perplex him, it does not get, what's wrong with my dad? He says, do as you have been commanded. Do as you have been commanded. And you will find me, insha'Allah, among the people who have sabr. You know the name of the boy? Yes. Is this Ibrahim's son? Ibrahim's son? Yes. What was his name? Ismail . Ibrahim's son, Ismail . And that was a good recovery, insha'Allah. The point I'm making is that, think about it from another angle. He was a boy. He was a boy like you. He was a boy like you. He was a boy like you. What makes them special? He was a boy like you. He was the product of a single parent. Today we talk about a single parent. There was no father. From the time he was born to the time of this conversation, there was no father involved. Ibrahim was not there. He was raised by his mother alone, Hajar . Single parent. How did she raise him in such a way that, number one, when he sees his father, he respects his father, he has regard for his father, right? And number two, he's already connected with Allah to such an extent that when his father asks him this question, which, if you look at the question, it's a very strange question. He knows what he's talking about. And then he gives him such a beautiful answer. He does not say, you will find me among the sabirin. He says, inshaAllah. He says, inshaAllah. If Allah wills. Because he's talking about slaughter, you can't say, well, you know, I've done this before, I know I can bear the pain. No. He doesn't know. What does it mean to be saying, I will slaughter you? What slaughter? He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. InshaAllah. It also shows us how, both for Ibrahim and Ismail, the number one important thing, the overwhelming thing, was the will of Allah. Ibrahim never asked Allah , why should I slaughter my son? What would I... After all, you gave me a son. After so many decades of making dua, now I had the little boy.…

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the honour of the prophets and messengers. Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and upon his family and his family, and peace and blessings be upon him, and upon his family and his family, My brothers and sisters, one of the most important things for us to do is to become grateful people. To become among the shakireen, the people who are grateful to Allah. You know, if you think about this, today we live in a world where we seem to be surrounded by bad news. In the newspapers, this and that, and all kinds of stuff all over the place. But give it a little bit more thought. Today, if you look at our lifestyle, and I'm not talking about the lifestyles of the high and mighty, the rich and famous. I'm talking about the lifestyles of ordinary people like us. We have lifestyles, and we live in comfort that is superior to the loyalty of the West and the East in medieval times. Far better than the kings and queens lived in Europe, and far better than the kings and queens lived in the East. Europe, I don't even want to talk and compare because their lifestyles are different. But if you look at the lifestyle, it's pretty sad if you look at the parameters. Say, for example, let's take two or three parameters to judge the lifestyle. One, let us take health. You know, these were the days before penicillin, days before antibiotics. It meant that if you got a wound on one of your limbs, which was very, very common for all kinds of reasons, not just wars, but, you know, exercise, practicing with weapons, working in the fields, just playing, anything, right? If you got a wound in one of your limbs, and they had some very brutal ways of dealing with it, with those things, and if it didn't work, if it got infected, which it did, you had a very good chance of losing the limb itself or having to get it amputated. And amputation also, including, for example, treating the wound if it needed to be stitched, amputation, everything. Remember, these are the days before anesthesia. So amputation was that they would grab you, put you on a... table or on some platform, hold you down, and then somebody would either take an axe or a saw and do the job. Not a nice image at all, right? But that was medical treatment. Infant mortality was through the roof. There was not a house in which some child had not died. Many women died in childbirth. And it didn't matter because disease does not differentiate between royalty and nobility and the common folk. The treatment that they had in the West for disease was practically one thing, which is bloodletting. So if you are sick, they opened a vein in your arm or... somewhere and they drained blood, sometimes quite a lot of blood. And they believed that this was something which cured you. It actually killed you because you had now also to deal with loss of blood. In the East, it was slightly better because medical treatment was a little bit more developed, but not particularly more. Food could not be refrigerated. There was no such thing. People used to eat food, which if you eat today, you would die. Because meat would be almost putrefying when they were eating it. And that's why they used a lot of spices to mask the stink of rotting meat. This is as far as food and health is concerned. Again, in the East, it was better. Especially if you were wealthy enough, you managed to get some decent food. But in Europe, it was very awful. There was obviously no heating and cooling and so on and so forth. So in the summer, you got hot. In the winter, you got cold. You froze. In the West, in Europe, they believed that bathing was dangerous to health. So they never bathed. Never bathed. They never brushed their teeth because they didn't know anything about oral hygiene. So by the time a person was about 30 years old,…

And peace and blessings be upon the honour of the prophets and the messengers. Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and may Allah grant him peace, and may Allah grant him much, much peace. And then, my brothers and sisters, we know the ayat of Surah Al-Bahim. Allah, the Exalted, said, Allah, the Exalted, said, Which means, let it be announced that the one who is grateful to Allah, the Exalted, for his blessings, Allah will increase the blessings. And the one who is ungrateful, let him beware that the punishment of Allah, the Exalted, is severe. Before we go further, let us just reflect on this. Allah said, The one who, thanks Allah, Allah will increase the blessings. But the one who is ungrateful, Allah did not say, Allah will punish him. Allah said, let him beware, the punishment is severe. Right? Normally, if you look at the construction of a sentence, it should be, I will give you, I will not give you. I will reward you, I will punish you. But this is the rahmah of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Allah does not say, I will punish. Allah said, beware, punishment is severe. Meaning, there is always room for us to make izdighfar and tawbah and not reach that point where the punishment becomes wajib. Today, I went to a place called Longmeadow Conservation Area, which is 15 minutes from here, just behind Bay Path University. And I took some photos, I posted them. Whoever is interested, send me a message, I will send you the photos. I saw two families of swans. Absolutely fabulous. Most beautiful two hours that I spent. 15 minutes from here. How many of you never heard of this place? You lived here how many, 30 years, 40 years? Why? Why don't you go out? Why don't? Why don't you go and see the khudrat of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala? What are you doing? Sitting in the house every day from morning till evening, making money to do what? Please, enjoy the mercy of Allah. See how Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has blessed us. Today, unfortunately, we live in a world where we hear only negative stuff. This is bad, that is bad, that is bad, that is bad, right? So, let us look at something. Some of the opposite, which is true, which we should really focus on. And I'll just go back to my own childhood and growing up. I'm not going back to ancient history of how it was in ancient Egypt and with the pharaohs and with, you know, kingdoms. No, I can give you all of that as well, but just by... When I was growing up in our house, and alhamdulillah, I didn't come from a poor family. I came from a very wealthy. I came from a very wealthy family and a very noble family. My father was a medical doctor, physician. We lived in a huge house. I was born in a house which had three acres of land around it. But then we moved to my father's house, which had four bedrooms, half an acre of land around it. And this is in Hyderabad. Mango trees, this, that. But no hot and cold running water. I'm not talking ancient history. I'm talking about the 60s, late 50s. No hot and cold running water. Not because we were poor. Not because there was no hot and cold running water. System didn't exist. No air conditioning. And why is air conditioning important? Because right now, as I'm speaking, the temperature in my city in Hyderabad is 120 Fahrenheit. You're always right. The chicken lays an egg, it becomes an omelet straight away. Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? My family, you've met a few children. lt's not. They live in an apartment building or whatever. You took your children. What would you do if she was not with you? She wasn't? You wouldn't even neck her? You wouldn't even? generators. So we had something called the Hawa Daan. How do you translate Hawa Daan into English? It was a box of air. So it was a covered,…

Auto-generated transcript:Alhamdulillah, we're looking at the incident of Ibrahim Alayhi Salaam's life where he left on the command of Allah SWT. He took his wife and their son and left them in the valley of Bakka and turned around and left. And then he made this dua. The first lesson from this incident that we learn is that of prioritizing the command of Allah SWT over any and everything else. To obey Allah SWT in every situation, whether we understand the command or not, whether we like the command or not. This command of Allah SWT to Ibrahim Alayhi Salaam. To take his wife and son, newborn son and leave them in this place. Is neither something that one can understand. And obviously it is not something that one can like. But he did it. Now this comes from a deep and unshakable belief. That what Allah SWT commands comes from a place of love that he has for his creatures. That it is a mark of his continuing and ongoing concern for their well-being. And that what he says is best for us. It comes from acknowledging and accepting the truth that Allah knows and I and we do not know. Allah SWT said, And there's no more شئ مفضلتاتِ عَلِيهِ حَ!!! Or what you add to your knowledge. So Allah SWT says, Andaining Nemseni. And many people express anger-swearing. Likeая شاركت ان امان ايام اشئ اللذي اذا %. What I have been learning is that I know the遺welings that they have and those things they have. I won't name the school, yesterday. And the person who picked me up from my house was a DARE officer. These are retired police officers who are working in this department called DARE, which stands for the people who work against drug addiction. And he's working in the school. This is a middle school. So children of 10 to 12, and from there, you know, maybe say between 10 to 12 to 16 or 10 to 16. So I said, you have cases of addiction? He said, it's not even a question of cases. He said, it's a problem enough for me to have a full-time job here. I mean, I'm not talking about some, you know, sort of, you know, sort of, city or city center school or some school in some sort of badlands. This is a big, very well-known school. And he tells me, we have cases of eight-year-olds vaping, smoking cigarettes and vaping. Please understand, smoking, vaping, all of this is haram in Islam. And when something is haram in Islam, doing it is haram, buying it is haram, selling it is haram, manufacturing it is haram, and there's a reason why it is haram. This is the state of where we are. So if Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says something is haram, there is a reason for that. And Allah says, you like something, you like something which is harmful for you. You like something that will put you into trouble in this dunya and akhira. Imagine you have a business doing this. You're buying it, you're selling it, you're raising your children on it. And then you die. And then you stand before Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. And then, what are you going to say? What will you say? Think about this. Think about this because the time will come when you will not be able to think about this. And the reason you will not be able to think about this is because you will be dead. Think about that before this, before that time comes. That is when you will be dead. And this is the reason why I'm telling you this. This is the essence of tawakkul. This is the essence of tawakkul to trust Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. And this is the reason, the basis of Ithbinaal ul Qalb. Peace of mind. A total trust on Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, which results in peace of mind and tranquility of the heart. And this is based on our understanding of His glory and majesty and power. And trust that when we open our hearts, we will be able to see the truth. And when we obey Him, He will protect us and support us. And that He will take care of us. That's why my addiction to nature and nature photography. Because I go out in the world, I take photographs and ask myself, this is my Rabb.…

Auto-generated transcript:Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. My dear respected brothers, sisters, elders. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sent his anbiya alayhi salam not only as guides for how to worship him, but as guides to lead our lives in a way that is wholesome, harmonious and beneficial in this life and a means of forgiveness and reward in the life of the Akhirah, inshaAllah. Islam, therefore, is a deen. It's a complete way of life. It's not just a set of rituals of worship. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, having sent this deen, also tests us. Allah said, Ahasiban nasu an yutraku an yakulu amanna wahum la yuftanoon. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, Do people think that if they simply say, whether once they say, we believe, amanna, that they will not be tested, that they will be left alone without being tested? Now, this is a fundamental principle of life. If you say in school and college, for example, if you say that you are ready, you are given a test to go to the next class. In organizations, if you say you are ready, then you are tested before you are given a promotion. And so on and so forth. So, we continuously pass tests after tests. The benefit of passing a test is that it makes you stronger, more confident, because after the test... After the test... After the test... After the test, you know that you have learned something. So, also in deen, with the benefit, additional benefit in deen, that when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tests, he helps the person to succeed. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala promised to test us. In Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, We will definitely test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property and life and crops. Give good news and glad tidings to those who patiently, patiently endure, who, when faced with a disaster, they say, surely to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we belong and to Him we will return. They are the ones who will receive Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's blessings and mercy. And it is they who are rightly guided. Everyone will be tested, but those who turn towards Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and behave with dignity and patience, they will receive, they will receive Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's reward and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is witness for their faith. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that nobody was tested more than the Abiyyah alayhimus sallam, than the prophets. And that he sallallahu alaihi wasallam was tested the most among the prophets, which means that he was tested most among all the human beings. Ibrahim alayhi wasallam's life, that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, mentioned in the Quran, was a series of tests. Among the most serious of these tests was when he was commanded by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to take his wife, our mother Hajar alayhi salam, and their newborn baby Ismail, and leave them in the valley of Bakka, later to be called Mecca. Imagine what's happening here. When you go home, look at, go to Google and see a map. Ask for a map from Jerusalem to Bakka. He is in Jerusalem. He started from there. And then, while he's there, and before that, after decades of making dua for a child, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala granted him a son. And this is not any ordinary dua. It's a dua of Khalidullah. Dua of one of the greatest of the Anbiya and Rasul, who was later to be the father of the prophets. His dua took decades. And then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gave him a son. And then he gets this command to take his son and his newborn baby, while his mother is still nursing him, and take them to a place that he has never seen before, and leave them there and return to Palestine.…

Auto-generated transcript:In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. And peace and blessings be upon the honour of the Prophets and Messengers, Muhammad and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and upon his family and companions. Peace and blessings be upon you all. My brothers and sisters, the number one requirement, the number one necessity that we have in this life is to be forgiven by Allah. The forgiveness of Allah is the number one thing. If we have everything else but Allah does not forgive us, then that's it. And no matter what sins we have done, if Allah forgives us, alhamdulillah. Now in this, there is good news. And the good news is that Allah promised to forgive. So one is that, say for example, I need money. And I say, well, I have to go and ask somebody. And I know, I have some friends who I know, so and so has money, so and so has money. And I go to them. Will they give me? Will they not give me? I don't know. They have money, but does not mean they will give me. But if there is somebody who tells me, look, anytime you need money, come to me. I will give you. He's telling you beforehand. At the time he's telling me I don't need it. But if you need it, come to me, I will give you. So if I go to somebody who has not told me this, I go with one state of mind. But if I'm going to somebody who said, you come, I will give you. Then there is no uncertainty. He told me to come, I'm coming. So Allah said this to us. Allah said, say to them, Ya Muhammad Ya Ibadiyy, my slaves. Who? Who are the Ibad of Allah? In this ayat Allah is not saying, My Ibadiyy. Ibadiyy allatheena min nabiyyin wa siddiqeen No, Allah is saying, allatheena asrafu ala anfusin People who have transgressed against themselves. People who have committed sins. People who have disobeyed Allah . People who have been indulged in haram. People who have not done what Allah made farth. And so on and so on. Allah said, say to them. What should I say to them? I will punish you. I will burn you. No. لَا تَقْنَتُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ Do not despair of the Rahmah of Allah . At no point don't feel, Oh my God, what's the point of making istighfar? I did so many wrong things. Allah cannot forgive me. This is haram in Islam. This is kufr. To say Allah cannot forgive me is kufr. To say to somebody else, Allah will not forgive you is kufr. Prophet said, there is a man who somebody asked him, some person who committed a lot of sins. He asked this man and the man said, Allah cannot forgive you. Allah said, you are saying what I can and cannot do. So Allah says, I will forgive that man and I will put you in Jahannam. Okay. So never say this. Anybody. Who? Whoever it is. Because forgiveness is for Allah. Only Allah is the one who forgives. لَا يَغْفِرُ ذُنُوبَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ He is not a human being. In our religion, in Islam, we don't go to the Imam and say, please, I made this sin. You know, give me forgiveness. You don't do all this. It is between you and Allah. You commit a sin, you ask Allah to forgive. If you involve somebody else, you ask them to forgive first, then you ask Allah to forgive. So two kinds of sins. One is sins in the Hukukullah. I was supposed to pray, I did not pray. This is baini wa bain Allah. So ask Allah to forgive. Then Hukukul Ibad. I was supposed to give somebody something I did not give him. So first give that. Finish this, then go to Allah. And really Allah forgives all sins. Everything. As long as you make istighfar. Allah will forgive shirk, Allah will forgive kufr, Allah will forgive anything. As long as we make istighfar. If we die with that,…

And peace and blessings be upon the honour of the prophets and messengers. Muhammad and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and upon his family and companions. Peace be upon them all. And after that, my dear brothers and sisters, there is a question that I keep getting asked every once in a while about whether I am willing to, and if I am not willing to, then why I am not willing to, present my lectures in shorter forms. So people ask me, can you, you know, whatever you have been, you are trying to teach, can you do this in five minutes? Or can you do it in, you know, something like this, which is a very short time. And I have always resisted that. I've always said no. Now, I want to address that and try and explain mostly for my friends who ask me this question. I know they're very sincere people. So it's really in honour of their sincerity that I want to that I want to make this even stronger. So, it's not a disclaimer, but it's something that I want to state. And my answer to them is as follows. Which is, take the, as we always say, you know, the best example is the example of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And the best example is the example of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And the example of his, those who followed him in Exodus. So let me give you a couple of examples. Take for example, Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu. Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu used to, he said, somebody asked him, they said, how is it that you have, you have quoted so many hadiths, whereas Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu and others who have, who were and who spent far longer with Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, have not quoted that many hadiths. So Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu, now he's not criticizing Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu, but generally speaking, he said that while you people, meaning he's talking to whoever asked that question, he said, while you people were busy in the markets and in earning livings and in doing business, I used to spend that time with Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He said, I used to spend so much time with him Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, that I would not even have time to eat. And there were times when I would fall down and I would faint. I would faint with exhaustion and with hunger. And people thought that I was having an epileptic fit. And they would, those days the sort of cure or antidote to this epileptic fits was that people used to, you used to make them smell leather sandals. So they would hold up, you know, their slippers under his nose. And he said, people didn't realize that the reason I fell down was not because of epilepsy, but because of hunger. And the reason I was so hungry, to the point of starvation, to the point of literally falling down, was because I spent all that time with Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Second example. Imam Qi gur самой Larif was sent by his mother small little kid. So he came and Imam Malik had a system where he would give dars of hadith muwatta between Asr and Maghrib in the courtyard of the masjid and Nabi Muhammad Sharif and then after the Salat of Maghrib Salat, he would give the dars inside the masjid between Maghrib and Nisha. So two sessions, not ten minute beats, two sessions. So the two of them together were a couple of hours. Maybe more than that. The time between Asr and Maghrib in the Hijaz is a long time. And then between Maghrib and Nisha. So these dars he used to give. So now he comes there, he starts the dars and this little kid less than ten years old is sitting right in front at his feet. And as Imam Malik is speaking he notices that this little kid is doodling in the sand with his index finger. So because there was no carpets and stuff. So he would sit on the sand. And this little kid is with his finger, he seems to be doodling, making little patterns.…

Auto-generated transcript:Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. Wasalatu was-salamu ala al-sharafi al-anbiya wal-mursaleen. Muhammadur Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa ala alihi wa sallam. Tasliman kathiran kathiran. I want to deal with two questions that two different people asked me. One, a friend of mine from Hyderabad, he asked me, he said, we keep making effort, we don't succeed, we lose energy. How to deal with that? And the second one was, Umar Abd al-Ali asked me, he is in medical school. So he said, we have been given information that we will have a very important qualifying exam, which will be for eight hours, the exam, in May 2026, which is 12 months from now. And we know what all we have to study in that one year, and how it goes forward and so on. But he said, there are two things. One is that this thought of this exam 12 months from now is overpowering in the head. And secondly, the regular work of the college also is there. That's going on. So how to deal with this? Like, too much. The answer is very simple. And the answer is structure. Structure. Create a timetable for the day. And do not use an app for that. Do not use an app. There is a psychological advantage in writing with your hand. So take a normal, you take a normal notebook. Make two columns. In the left column, put time. In the right column, put the activity you have to do. And how much time is needed for that. So from the time you open your eyes in the morning to the time you go to bed in the night, that must be in the timetable. And then, second part, which is, follow that like a religion. Nothing must move you away from that timetable. No matter what happens in life. That timetable must be followed. Otherwise it's a waste of time. You write it down, you do nothing, makes no sense. So follow that very, very, very strictly. So that is why I remind myself and you, focus on your effort. Not on talent, not even on your long-term goals. Your daily effort. I'll give you another example. Take, many of you have the desire to become Hafez. Alhamdulillah. Very good. But tell me, what is the most important thing if you are doing HIFS? The number one, most, absolutely important thing. What is it? It is not the desire to make HIFS, it is not the quality of your Usta. The most important thing in making HIFS is your daily Daur. Right? I memorized one page today, tomorrow I repeat that, I revise that, day after tomorrow I memorize page two, third day I revise two pages, then I have third page, and I revise third page. This is the number one most important thing to do. If you do not do your repetition, you cannot become Hafez. Impossible. And that repetition will kill you. I mean that is so difficult. It's not easy. It's very, very difficult. And the beauty is, within quote beauty, the more you memorize, the more difficult it becomes. Because the portion you have to repeat is more. But there is no other way. That is the way. As long as you go on repeating, it trips through the mind. But if you don't repeat, and even if you miss one single day, whatever may be the reason, the reason makes no difference. My grandmother came by at my wedding to attend, my friend comes. Makes no difference. You missed today's Daur, believe me brother, you are in serious trouble. Because the next day, it gets doubled. You can't make it up. You will kill yourself. You will not be able to do it. Must be done on time at that time. So create a timetable. Focus on your effort. It's good to have a long-term goal, no doubt about that. Right? But focus on your step by step by step. Are you taking those steps? I used to go trekking. I remember one day I went with two other friends of mine. All of them young. I was the manager, they were my sisters. We climbed a mountain of what? I think it was 5,000, 5,500 feet. And the track was almost vertical. It was very, very steep track. And we started from sea level and we were going up 5,000 feet. So it is, it was extremely hot…

Peace and blessings be upon him and upon his family and his companions. From Abadu, somebody asked me a question about following a religion. So, how many of you can name what are the four madhabs in the Ahlus Sunnah wa Jama'ah? No, I know you all are this group. Yes. I won't take your name because this goes worldwide, so they won't know who it is, but you can ask me first. What are the four madhabs? Maafi, Hanafi, Ambalee. I'm asking you, Vaan. I don't know what's wrong. Nafsi. Whatever I want. That madhab? No. Maliki. Hanafi, Shafi, Maliki, Ambalee. Right? Okay. So, what is your madhab? No. What is your madhab? Islam. Islam is not a madhab. Islam is a deen. Hanafi. Hanafi. What Hanafi madhab follows who? Imam Hanafi. Imam Hanafi. What is Imam Hanafi's name? Maafi. Imam Hanafi. Maafi. No, I'm not trying to insult anybody. I'm just trying to show you the problem with people who say, I follow, I am Hanafi. They do not even know the name of the Imam who they follow. They do not even know whether Hanafi is his name, whether it is a kunya, whether it is the name of his cat. We don't know. Right? But we are willing to fight to the death with somebody who is not Hanafi. Inna liillahi wa inna ilahi rajim. So please understand this. This is a very big musibat in this ummah. I am Hanafi. I am Shafi. Be Hanafi. No problem. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Right? Al turab min khadam al Imam Abu Hanifa ala raasi wa ala aini. The dust from his feet is on my head and on my eyes. No problem. Alhamdulillah. Follow. But at least learn something. So let me explain something to you. Please understand this. Number one. In al ahlu sunnah wal jama'ah, which is what we are Sunni Muslims, we follow, there are four madhahib, four schools of jurisprudence. These are not schools of thought. All kinds of nonsense is spoken in the neighborhood. It's not a school of thought. It's a school of jurisprudence. These are fuqaha. They are not philosophers. They are not phala. They are not falasifah. They are fuqaha. Right? Four schools of jurisprudence. We believe, all of us, that it is acceptable to follow any of these four ayimma al quwara. Number one. Number two. It is not okay to criticize somebody who is following another imam. And I will explain to you from the Quran and Sunnah why it is not possible and not permissible to criticize. It is not permissible to criticize somebody following another imam. So if you say you are Hanafi, most welcome. You find out the name of the imam first of all. But if you are Hanafi, most welcome. Be Hanafi. But if my brother here is Shafi, it is not permissible for you to criticize him for following Imam Shafi Rahmatullah Ali. And it is not permissible for you to criticize him for following Imam Abu Hanifa Rahmatullah Ali. And I will give you the dalail for this. When we say we follow an imam. Say for example, I will give you one of the most common things which we see every day. Which is how we pray. Right? So if you are Hanafi, how many times do you raise your hands? Once. Once. Right? When? Starting of Salah. Starting of Salah. What is it called? That particular motion? Learn, learn, learn, learn, learn. Learn. So first rule. If you follow some imam, follow him. Follow with knowledge. Don't just say blindly, I am Hanafi, I am Shafi. What is the name of the imam? I don't even know the name of the imam. What do you mean? Go and learn. Number two. It is not okay to criticize somebody else. I said an example, I will give you. In Salah. The Hanaf, people who follow Imam Abu Hanifa Rahmatullah Ali, they raise their hands once to the level of their ears. When they do that, what is called Takbir Tahrimah or Takbiratul H...…

Auto-generated transcript:My brothers and sisters, I have been asked to give some advice about marriage. So here goes. I call this my marriage advice three by three. Marriage advice three by three. Three things that you do not want to do or you should not do and three things that you should do. So the first question to ask is, do you want to remain happily married? And if the answer is yes, then there are three things that you must not do. The first one, don't collect garbage. Have a selective memory. Remember only good and forget all bad. Because garbage always stinks and only you will smell it. So don't collect garbage. Now, remember, sometimes you will hear people saying, be very careful what you say to your spouse. One word can destroy years of relationship. My point is, a relationship, which is destroyed by one word, is a jail sentence. It is not a relationship. A marriage is a relationship which is bulletproof, which should be bulletproof. A marriage is like a ship. Ships are built to sail the high seas and to battle with storms from the outside. A ship is not meant to sit in the harbor in safety. It is meant to sail the high seas. The beauty of a marriage is the same thing as the beauty of any deep and real and genuine friendship. And that is the obviation, the lack of need for defenses. In a good marriage, there is no need for defenses. My point is, that if I have to watch every word that I say to my wife, every word that I say to my wife, every word that I say to my wife, every word that I say to my wife, or my husband, if I have to be careful about every single thing I say or do, then how is this a marriage? It can be, you know, a political relationship. It can be a diplomatic connection or whatever. How is it a marriage? How is it a close friendship? A close friendship is one in which there are no defenses. I don't need to defend. Because I know that this person will never deliberately harm me. Now, is that person, is it possible that this person may say or do something which appears to be hurting, even insulting? Is that possible? Of course, because they're human. They're human. But if you have this fundamental belief that it is never done deliberately, they're not trying to do that. They may have, their emotion of the time may have got over them or overcome them or overpowered them, or they may be, under some other outside stress or whatnot. That is the reason why they have said what they have said. It is not meant for me. Then believe me, nothing will happen to your relationship, except that it will make it stronger. So don't collect garbage. Don't collect bad stuff. Forget the bad stuff. Collect the good stuff. Remind yourself again and again about the good stuff. Anything bad that comes to you from, your spouse, forgive. Forgive. Number one. Number two, don't try to mold or change or sculpt your spouse. If you didn't like what you saw in the first place, why did you marry that person? If you liked what you saw, why do you want to change it? Your spouse is not a rock or a lump of clay or a patient in your hospital. They didn't marry you to be changed. So change yourself to like them. Remind yourself that you were not forced into that marriage. You went into it with your eyes open because you liked that person. And if you like that person, then like that person. Don't try to change them. Number three, not to do. Don't criticize. Nagging never works. If they wanted a nag, they would have married a horse. So forgive and seek forgiveness. Forgive and seek forgiveness. Nothing works like sorry. Nothing works like sorry. So, say sorry. And the other person, don't say, oh, you know, you always say this and you always say sorry and you always repeat. That is why we are human. Ask yourself, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said this in Surah An-Nur. Allah said, do you not want Allah to forgive you? So if you want Allah to forgive you, then forgive your spouse and thank them for giving you so much practice.…

Tasliman kathiran kathira. Fahamma baadu. Now take the case of another one. Who asked the same question. How does Allah give life to the dead? Same question. But in a different tone. And this tone is the one. Tone of the one who knows. Allah. And has a relationship with Allah. The tone of one who talks to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala all the time. And is having another conversation. It's a very normal conversation. And so he asks. Allah said and remember when Ibrahim said alayhi salam. My Rabb. Rabbi. My Rabb. Arini kaifatu hilmauta. Show me how do you give life to the dead. Now think about this. Is the question being asked. So if Allah wants to answer it. He should have said. This is how I do it. Maybe demonstrate it. Here is something living. Die. Come back to life. Khala. No. What is Allah's response? Ya Rabb show me how do you give life to the dead. Allah said. Avalam tu min. You don't believe. You don't know. You don't believe. What does it tell you about the relationship. For the whole world to ask this question. You ask him this question. How come you ask this question. It's a response of such love and such affection. And you know. You my Khaliq. You. And see if I'm a response. He said. No no no. Of course I believe Ya Rabb. But for the. It's been out of my. Kalb. Allah SWT said. Rasulullah SAW said. He said the report. The information. Is not like seeing. So effectively. I'm saying. He said. Of course I believe that. I mean. There's no doubt of my mind. But if you show me. Show it. That is the reason why. Rasulullah SAW said. If Ibrahim could ask this question. We have even greater right. To ask Allah and say. Allah show me your khudrat. But be careful how you ask. Huh. That's why they say. Be careful what you ask for. So what does Allah say. What does Allah say to him. Allah SWT says. Get four birds. He didn't say. Get a chicken. Get a duck. Get a turkey. No. He said. Get four birds. Wild birds. Train them to come to you. So they are free flying pets. For him. Then. Slaughter them. Chop them into pieces. And then. They will be. They will be. They will be. They will be. They will be. They will be. They will be. They will be. Chop them into pieces. Mix it all up. And take a portion of that. And scatter it. Put it on top of each of these hills. And we don't know how many hills. So one lump of mixed bird. Khima. On each hilltop. Now think about this. From the tone of this ayah. It seems to me that Ibrahim A.S. at this time must have been a young boy. Because if an older person asks this question. This is not what you would say to them. This is a project being given to a child. And you are not going to be able to do it. You are going to be a child. You are going to be a child. You are going to be a child. You are going to be a child. You are going to be a child. You are going to be a child. You are going to be a child. Right. Your little son or daughter says something. You can give an answer. You don't do that. He says no. Now go do that. See how it works. How does this oak tree grow? Okay. Here. Here is an acorn. Go plant it. Now water it. Look after it. So on. So on. Maybe it takes you. God knows. Six months for the answer to come. But you are working on it yourself. So it is much more exciting. Much more interesting. So Allah says four wild birds. Now think about it. What is. Different bird species nest in different places. Supposing it is a golden eagle. On the cranks of hilltops. Peregrine falcon. You know. There are aquatic birds. There are birds with nests on the ground. There are birds with nests in tree hollows. If it is a hornbill it seals its female into the nest with the eggs. Different species. Nesting different.
