Despite mentioning pride month in our last few episodes, Fake film Fans never really dedicated an episode to the month so this is our belated special. (0:03:35) Swade is interested in helping USA fix the recession so he asks Walter if he can help give some ideas. (00:14:45) Walter brings Alice Wu's "Saving Face" to the podcast and shares how much he loves Flushing in New York City. Swade and Walter also have a long conversation about what exactly saving face in Asian culture looks like. (00:43:13) Swade brings "Sonic the Hedgehog" and is curious why so many of the people who want to have sex with Sonic are gay. Walter and Swade argue about whether or not having sex with Sonic is gay but in the end, the discussion gets more nuanced and Fake Film Fans realizes how Sonic challenges society's understanding of sexuality.
