On today’s episode, we’re joined by Tara Teng, an Embodiment Coach and author of ‘Your Body is a Revolution: Healing Our Relationships with Our Bodies, Each Other and the Earth.’ Tara is also a TEDx Speaker, a former Miss Canada and was named Canada’s “Woman of the Year”.

Throughout our conversation, we discuss Tara’s journey from feeling disembodied in her everyday life, to waking her body back up to its full aliveness by tuning into her own inner wisdom rather than the patriarchal messaging that was fed to her.

We discuss tips for regulating your nervous system when you feel activated, as well as the myth of ‘self-regulation.’

Tune into this episode to learn how to anchor yourself in your own full embodied ‘yes’ and step into your own revolution.

IN THIS EPISODE, WE TALK ABOUT:

  • How a religious upbringing negatively impacted her body image, and how she stopped the cycle with her own children.
  • How women subconsciously uphold patriarchal systems.
  • The importance of letting your body be the guide.
  • Why reconnecting with nature is the key to regulating our nervous systems.
  • The ways in which the climate crisis is related to our relationship with ourselves.
