This week on Finding Your Bliss, Celebrity Interviewer and Bliss Coach Judy Librach is joined by a yoga legend in Canada, also known as the ‘Godmother of Yoga,’ in Toronto, Helen Goldstein! Helen is here to talk about her life as a trailblazer in the yoga and wellness space, and give us a sneak peek into her fabulous upcoming memoir! Helen is the founder of The Yoga Studio, which she opened on a whim, and it quickly became Canada's largest yoga studio. She created an unheard-of model by offering many different styles of yoga and movement under one roof. She held the first ecstatic dance classes and hosted some of the top teachers in the world. The studio attracted international celebrities and spawned many of the great yoga teachers in Toronto. Wallpaper Magazine called it one of the best 10 studios in the world. She was also the subject of a documentary called Second Chance and has been a frequent guest on numerous global media outlets. In 1995, Helen was one of the first Canadians to be personally certified by Dr. Deepak Chopra to teach his form of meditation and she had the honour of introducing him twice to an audience of over 2500 people. She's had raucous dinners with Caroline Myss, and Wayne Dyer, and a more subdued one with her mentor, the late Barbara Marx Hubbard. She was a guest at an over-the-top yoga fundraiser hosted by an influential yoga doyenne in Bel Air and attended by Hollywood yogis and yoginis. Recently she created a unique line of skin care and is working on a new life-altering project. She has written a funny, raunchy, irreverent memoir about her 50-plus years in her quest for enlightenment (she's still questing), and 15 years managing the teachers at her yoga studio. She has no intention of retiring quietly AND she's in her 70's! For more on Finding Your Bliss, you can follow us @theblissminute on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. Or you can visit our online magazine at findingyourbliss.com and take one step closer to finding your bliss. Listen live every Saturday at 1pm on Zoomer Radio
