When the internet first became widely used people assumed that more information is always better.

Few people today would take genuinely take that stance especially with the rise and rapid spread of misinformation and disinformation as a result of the speed of the internet.

What is misinformation? False or misleading information spread mistakenly or unintentionally

What is disinformation? False information which is intended to mislead, especially propaganda issued by a government organization to a rival power of the media

In this episode James and Robby discuss and attempt to answer the following questions.

How do misinformation and disinformation play a role in fitness today?

What can the fitness individual do to guard themselves against misinformation in the health and fitness realm today?

What is the role of fitness coaches in combating misinformation/disinformation?

When it comes to the fitness collective should we let people engage in whatever fitness practice they want even if it is false and harmful or institute a more stringent restriction on fitness practices?
