This Hall primarily serves as a book-club-style podcast about medieval literature and lore, whether it is Norse, Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, or Arthurian. It is hosted by Fjorn (aka Steven T. Dunn), an aspiring author of high fantasy with a Master’s degree in History who also owns a small business offering hand-crafted, Norse-inspired tea blends. Each episode explores a work of medieval literature or lore in order to casually discuss the parts that are confusing, insightful, or downright epic. Given the host’s diverse background and interests, this podcast not only shares scholarly insight regarding responsible reading and historical context, but also considers the meaningful experiences that we can have with medieval stories even today.
