The 5th Amendment guarantees that citizens are entitled to a speedy and public trial, we may not be compelled to provide testimony or evidence that tends to incriminate them In addition the 5th Amendment prohibits the state from placing a person twice in jeopardy to name a few. The 6th Amendment provides that we citizens are entitled to counsel at trial, we have the right to call witnesses in our defense.
