In Episode 134, Keith and Justin are joined once again by Cory Lanza as they discuss Cory's book of poetry, Miscellany of Thoughts III: The Boy and the Lion. Cory talks about his influences as a writer, and how certain events in his life led him to write these poems. The guys also discuss the merits and pitfalls of writing so close to tragedy, and whether poetry can capture the fullness of our experience. Finally, they talk about the act of performing poetry, especially in front of those whom the poetry is about. We had an absolute blast talking with Cory, so be sure to listen! In the beginning, Justin talks about his trip to New York City, and the guys talk about their experiences traveling to large cities around the world. Finally, in the end, the guys give their final thoughts, Keith gives his thoughts The Grandfather's newest EP, and Justin takes a quiz that tells him he's only 1/3 Christian!
