So here we are with a new podcast. Several lessons were learned. Some of them I had already learned before on other podcasts, but apparently have to learn again.

I SMACK MY GODDAMN LIPS TOO GODDAMN MUCH! The hell is seriously wrong with me? Why do I do that when recording podcasts, but not when voiceovering or speaking like a person in the actual world? Keep in mind that I scrubbed through the whole thing and removed several especially offending examples. What you are hearing is not an accurate example of what I did.

Also, the chair I am sitting on is too noisy. Tom is sitting in a copy of the same chair, yet his is silent. Maybe I just fidget too much. I might stand up.

Also, playing music from YouTube on the same computer that is recording the audio then smashing is all down to a mono signal makes the music from YouTube sound like garbage. Have to figure out another route.

Also having construction being done in the next room is not ideal.

Outside of that and the overall fact that this was more or less a technical trial all went well!

We will begin with the actual format of the show starting next time. If you feel like playing along, try to find a copy of Rawhead Rex. We’ll be watching it this week, then commenting on it and anything else that comes up from the commenting on it.

That’s the deal. That’s what we’ll be doing. You dig it?

This week we talked about disco, the advent of cable television, synthwave music, Stephen King and what sounds like an excellent movie that may or may not exist outside of my mind starring Patrick Stewart on a MOTORCYCLE.
