We’ve turned intuition into a buzzword—flattened it into a slogan, a gut feeling, or a vague whisper we don’t always know how to hear. But what if intuition is so much more? What if it's one of the most powerful tools we have—and we’ve just forgotten how to use it? In this episode, I’m joined by Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir , Icelandic thought leader, filmmaker, and author of InnSæi: Icelandic Wisdom for Turbulent Times . Hrund has spent over 20 years studying and teaching the science and art of intuition through her TED Talk, Netflix documentary ( InnSæi: The Power of Intuition ), and global work on leadership, innovation, and inner knowing. Together, we explore what intuition really is (hint: not woo-woo), how to cultivate it in a culture obsessed with logic and overthinking, and why your ability to listen to yourself might be the most essential skill you can develop. In This Episode, We Cover: ✅ Why we’ve misunderstood intuition—and how to reclaim it ✅ Practical ways to strengthen your intuitive muscle ✅ What Icelandic wisdom teaches us about inner knowing ✅ How to use intuition during uncertainty and decision-making ✅ Why trusting yourself is an act of rebellion (and power) Intuition isn’t magic—it’s a deep, internal guidance system that already exists inside you. The question is: are you listening? https://tinyurl.com/frcmed-olp-transcript Our Lady of Peace, Prelatic Church of Opus Dei, is a place of prayer, housing the mortal remains of Saint Josemaría Escrivá and Blessed Álvaro del Portillo.
https://tinyurl.com/frcmed-gm-transcript Doña Dolores Albás, or ‘the Grandmother’, as she was affectionately called was the mother of St. Josemaría Escrivá and played a crucial role in his upbringing, providing a truly Christian home environment. Her son fondly remembered their family traditions of attending Mass, giving alms to the disabled, and praying together on Sundays. She instilled in him a deep prayer life that he continued throughout his life. The Grandmother, along with her daughter Carmen, also sacrificed greatly to support the founding of Opus Dei. Despite financial difficulties, they selflessly gave their time and resources to help with the apostolate. One of the Grandmother’s simple yet beloved traditions was making crespillos, a dessert that the whole family looked forward to on her feast day.…
https://tinyurl.com/frcmed-popeelection-transcript On March 13th, 2023, we commemorated the 10th anniversary of the papal conclave's election of Pope Francis as Bishop of Rome and the leader of the Catholic Church.
https://bit.ly/frcmed_conjugal_love_transcript As we commemorate the 55th anniversary of Humanae Vitae , meaning "Of Human Life", this meditation reflects upon the depth and resonance of this seminal papal encyclical. Published on July 25, 1968, and penned by Pope Paul VI, it stands as a lyrical exploration of the Catholic Church's teachings on the sanctity of life, marriage, and human procreation. This deeply thoughtful document remains a testament to the Church's enduring commitment to upholding the sacredness of human life and familial love.…
https://bit.ly/frcmed_stmonica_transcript St. Monica (c. 332 – 387) was an early North African Christian saint and the mother of Augustine of Hippo. She is remembered and honored for her outstanding holy life, particularly the suffering caused by her husband's adultery, and her prayerful life dedicated to the conversion of her son St. Augustine, who wrote extensively of her pious acts and life with her in his Confessions. https://bit.ly/frcmed_ourladythequeen_transcript The Catholic teaching on this subject is expressed in the papal encyclical Ad Caeli Reginam , issued by Pope Pius XII in 1954.It states that Mary is called Queen of Heaven because her son, Jesus Christ, is the king of Israel and the heavenly king of the universe; indeed, the Davidic tradition of Israel recognized the mother of the king as the Queen Mother of Israel.…
https://bit.ly/frcmed_newmanonfriendship_transcript This meditation is released on the occasion of the feast of St. John Henry Newman. His feast day falls on October 9th, the date of his conversion to Catholicism. "There have been men before now, who have supposed Christian love was so diffuse as not to admit of concentration upon individuals; so that we ought to love all men equally. ...Now I shall maintain here, in opposition to such notions of Christian love, and with our Saviour's pattern before me, that the best preparation for loving the world at large, and loving it duly and wisely, is to cultivate our intimate friendship and affection towards those who are immediately about us". - "Love of Relations and Friends", Parochial and Plain Sermons , Volume 2, Sermon 5.…
https://bit.ly/frcmed_ourladyofransom_transcript Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary was a constant reference throughout the life of St. Josemaría Escrivá. All the titles he knew found a place in his heart, and some took on special relevance at specific moments in his life: Our Lady of Ransom ( Nuestra Señora de la Merced ), the patroness of Barcelona, was one of them.…
https://bit.ly/frcmed_edithstein_transcript St. Edith Stein was a German Jewish philosopher who converted to Catholicism and became a Discalced Carmelite nun. She is canonized as a martyr and saint of the Catholic Church, and she is one of six co-patron saints of Europe.
https://bit.ly/frcmed_stsimonjude_transcript St. Jude, known as Thaddaeus, was a brother of St. James the Lesser, and a relative of Jesus. Ancient writers tell us that he preached the Gospel in Judea, Samaria, Idumaea, Syria, Mesopotamia, and Lybia. According to Eusebius, he returned to Jerusalem in the year 62 and assisted at the election of his brother, St. Simeon, as Bishop of Jerusalem. Little is known about the post-Pentecost life of St. Simon, who had been called a Zealot. He is thought to have preached in Egypt and then to have joined St. Jude in Persia. Here, he was supposedly martyred by being cut in half with a saw, a tool he is often depicted with. However, the 4th-century St. Basil the Great says he died in Edessa, peacefully.…
