Ever wonder why some words are "forbidden" while other words are magnificently grouped into phrases that make us sing with a loud voice. Words can be beautiful and inspiring, as well as painful, hurtful, mean, and full of hate or . . . love. We communicate through them, we weild them like swords, use them to build walls of exclusion, but in reality, the words themselves only communicate about 7% of what is really being said or is meant when we use words. Our non-verbal skills and intentions, our background and up bringing, our ATTITUDE and BELIEFS say so much more than the words ever will or, in fact, that . . . they . . . can.
In this episode of Frame of Reference - Coming Together, Antowan and I talk about words. Slang words, rich words, words of all shapes and colors all in our never ending desire to find ways for Black and White Americans to find and secure a place where words are used to unify and embolden those who seek truth and justice. Who wouldn't want to live in such a place instead of the one we have made today where our words are constantly being used to demean and divide. Come together with us as we start to unravel the wonder of words together.

Thanks for listening. Please check out our website at www.forsauk.com to hear great conversations on topics that need to be talked about. In these times of intense polarization we all need to find time to expand our Frame of Reference.
