ENJOY THIS EPISODE:

Frederick Advice Givers Founder and Host, Eric Verdi, has grown up in Frederick County his entire life. The Verdi Family moved to Frederick and planted their roots in 1957, on a 150 acre farm. It started as a horse farm. Eric’s father was a well-known foaler and breeder.

Eric Verdi- Our Host

Eric adopted his work ethic and problem solving skills from his father. Growing up on a farm there are no days off, working hard is a part of the job. When dealing with animals problems may arrive and it’s your job to create solutions to mend the issues at hand, you take care of it.

Eric also developed a sense of selflessness from his mother. She was always volunteering and putting others first.

After graduating from Salisbury, Eric began working accounting jobs in the Frederick area and bought his first house in Downtown Frederick. It wasn’t until he met Marla Johnson, he realized he was interested in Real Estate. He took his test, got his license and began working under Marla. They became partners and co-business owners, thus Maryland Real Estate Group INC was born.

Four years ago Eric decided to re-vamp his business with his own content. He began writing stories in his newsletter, The Eric Verdi Letter. Trademarking his authentic and true stories, relating his personal life back to his business. These stories resonate with his clients and create something beautiful, a deeper and more meaningful relationship. They aren’t just his clients, they’re his friends.

Following his magazine, Eric Verdi followed in his friend Ryan Fletcher’s footsteps and created Frederick Advice Givers. It was a platform to help entrepreneurs and local business owners share their story and help grow their business. It’s a way to give back to the Frederick community that Eric holds near and dear to his heart. The more personal the podcast, the deeper the connection the business owner will create with the listeners.

The impact within the community and the business owners has been huge. Eric never thought this movement would create the types of connections that it has. Every episode, every story, creates a bigger and successful impact.

Being the entrepreneur that Eric is, his big ideas haven’t subsided. His plans for 2017 are going to be massive. He plans to create an impact club, to focus on giving back to our local communities.
