Jesus, our Lord, we shout hosannas and worship you. With eager hands, we place our palms of praise on the path before you. Yet, Lord, we confess that our mouths often deny or defy you. And we confess that the hands that seek to serve you often become clenched fists. Just as the people of Jerusalem did long ago – We sing “Hosanna,” but cry “Crucify.” We want to rule our own lives rather than bow before you. Jesus, you came in weakness to give us strength and a place in your kingdom.Forgive us, lift us up and help us to follow you. Jesus, You are Lord over our lives. Amen.
