In this episode, Chuck discusses some news about real estate agent sales commissions, and how litigation against Multiple Listing Services (MLS) and their associations might change rules related to those commissions. Anti-trust litigation against MLS's has been heating up recently. The issue currently being litigated is (roughly) if MLS rules should require listing agents (and their sellers) to set the buyer agent commission at the time of listing, instead of negotiating it at the time of sale. This episode also addresses some good practices related to real estate commissions as they relate to buyers' agents.
