The incredible life of Jessie McGuire Dent, a Galveston civil rights activist and founder of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She fought for equal pay for African American teachers and civil rights for African Americans in Galveston. Her legacy lives on today through a recreation center and scholarship fund in her name.
