In this episode we will let you listen in to 16 of the most prominent senators in American History in the post World War 2 era. Several are among the longest serving Senators in history. They are all among the great orators of the time. This set of Senators are here in this last great debate of their era where all of them are on the stage.
We will let you listen in to some of them edited and couple of them in full, we include a future President Joe Biden, a future Vice President in Al Gore, and my two South Carolina Senators Strom Thurmond and Ernest Hollings. We also include Dan Inouye who was a World War 2 hero. The Senators you will here in order are:
Pete Domenici R-NM , Warren Rudman R-NH , Phil Gramm R-TX, Ernest Hollings D-SC, Al Gore D-TN, Joe Biden D-DE, Robert Byrd D-WV, Dan Inouye D-HA, Ted Kennedy D-MA, Trent Lott R-MS, Joe Lieberman D-CT, Jessie Helms R-NC, Strom Thurmond R-SC, Richard Lugar R-IN, Alan Simpson R-WY, and John Warner R-VA.
It is the Hall of Fame of the Senate of the 1990s. As they debate one of the most important votes in their careers, the decision to go to War in the Middle East.
